We were so lucky to have the Old Time All Stars in the house — huge thanks to the Health Arts Society! What an absolute blast of an afternoon 🎶💃

Meet Melvin from Cote First Nation near Kamsack 🎶
Back in 1974, Melvin played in Nashville on the small stage. One night, a bar owner heard him play and offered him $50 per show, per week — plus free room and board. Just like that, Nashville became home for a while. Melvin said he met all kinds of country stars along the way, and he wrote most of his own songs, too.
His guitar was spotted standing quietly in the corner of his room, still in its case, until rec staff brought it out and placed it in his hands. And just like that, we got a little taste of Nashville right here—wow, this man is talented. 🎸✨
Next time, he definitely gets the mic!

Patricia has a beautiful love for singing—she closes her eyes, lets the music flow, and pours her heart into every note 🎶💛. Born on a very long opening day at Aspen, when Kayla ran out of places to put the safety goggles… and accidentally invented a legend.
One pair of goggles + one feather duster = Larry.
Cleaner of halls. Protector of eyeballs.
Moral support on wheels.
Larry made cleaning the village way more fun, boosted spirits, and reminded us that even on exhausting days, laughter shows up when you least expect it. Invented by Kayla, loved by everyone. 💛🧹

We finally got to put those beautiful teacups to good use — thank you to everyone who donated them! ☕💖
We hosted a delightful birthday tea in Elderberry Hall today, complete with lots of smiles, laughter, and a very yummy cake (huge thanks to Food Services! 🍰).
The residents absolutely loved it!

We invite you to follow along as we share joyful moments, special activities, and (with permission, of course) glimpses of your loved ones enjoying life at Aspen. Our home is filled with kindness, compassion, and genuine care for every resident who lives here.
We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming generosity of our community. From Christmas décor galore (Doors Greenhouse—an entire horse trailer full! ❤️), beautiful teacups from the Emerald Park and Regina community, an electric piano donated by an amazing couple through Facebook Marketplace, Secret Santa gifts made possible by friends and staff from Regina and Emerald Park, to paintings and festive décor donated by families—your support has meant the world to us.
If we’ve missed anyone, please know how deeply thankful we are. Together, let’s keep the joy coming, entertain these wonderful residents, and continue turning Aspen into a true home—full of care, love, and heart. 💛 Share our page🙏
