As a clinician the newest issue I see is AI chatbots. Addiction(yes to chatbots), misinformation and for children information and content they are not ready for. There is an article I can’t link or it will be removed but search CTV “Letting your kids use AI chatbots? There are risks according to experts”.~

It is becoming common for parents to reach out to us for help after their children/teens are caught up in trouble online. Below are some great resources.

As a parent or guardian, it is important that you are aware of your child's digital online life. This includes regularly monitoring their online activity.

There are several potential issues that children can be involved in online including: talking to online predators, cyberbullying, extortion, access to mature content, and sending or receiving intimate images.

In addition to completing frequent checks of their device, parents should be aware of their child’s privacy settings and what apps they are allowing on their child’s device.
