Small, everyday rhythms create real change.

What’s one intentional behaviour you can layer onto what you’re already doing? Not ten - just one!

Maybe it’s:

✔️ Ten minutes of evening mobility and stretching
✔️ An after-dinner walk to support digestion
✔️ A phone boundary before bed (maybe even leave it in another room to charge and use a real alarm clock instead) ⏰️
✔️ Preparing an overnight breakfast or laying out your clothes so your day starts with something already checked off

Some of us push back, thinking we'll I don't like rigid schedules. This isn’t about rigidity; it’s about simple, flexible systems that make life feel easier.

Look… the fun finisher is part of the experience. It builds stronger muscles, happier joints, and a little extra character… usually expressed through some very creative words 😄

Honestly, Baby Krista probably should’ve been the warning sign. That mischievous little face clearly had plans.

But jokes aside, the bonus round of intentional movement at the end of each class gets a lot more rewarding when you start noticing the real wins…

✨️ You’re stronger.
✨️ You’re moving better.
✨️ Getting up off the floor is easier… and no longer involves a chair, a wall, and a detailed exit strategy.

Yeah… movement with fewer sound effects. That’s the good stuff. 😆

Show Up Anyway.

You won’t always feel motivated.
You won’t always feel energized.
You won’t always feel inspired.

But you can show up.

We overcomplicate things and end up wasting energy thinking instead of doing. Stop overanalyzing how busy you are or how long your to-do list looks. The time you spend stressing about it is time you could already be moving forward.

💚Here’s the truth - progress doesn’t belong to the most motivated people. It belongs to the ones who show up anyway. The ones who walk through the doors when they’re tired. The ones who train when it would be easier to stay home. Every workout you show up for builds discipline, confidence, and momentum.

You don’t need perfect energy or the perfect day; you just need to take the next step.

As you meal prep for the week ahead, here’s the truth about carbs - they aren't always the problem… sometimes it’s a you problem. 🫶 😅

But don’t worry, no judgment here. Let me teach you how to use them better.

Carbs are fuel, no doubt about it - but constant grazing and eating carbs alone can lead to energy crashes and cravings. The good news is you don't have to restrict carbs, you just need to structure them accordingly.

Instead:
✔️ Place carbs around training
✔️ Pair carbs with a MVP teamate (spoiler, that teammate is protein)
✔️ Limit “naked carbs” (carbs eaten alone)

Protein + Carbs is always a better choice) over
“Naked carbs” (a solo piece of toast, muffin, or crackers).

Today’s action:
Make your pre- or post-workout meal include both protein and carbs to support energy, performance, and recovery. Tip: ✨️ Sweet Potatoes are such a great smart carb to pair with your favourite lean protein choices!

Eat carbs with intention, not by accident. A common myth is that your body performs better on fewer carbs; when often, it’s the chaos of how carbs are being eaten that’s actually hurting your overall goals.

Our LMF Lite is our low-impact class designed to help you feel stronger, more capable, and energized for the rest of your day. We focus on joint mobility, improving movement quality, and building strength in a way that supports real life - so everyday tasks feel easier and your body feels better.

This class is perfect for:
• Seniors
• Those new to fitness
• Returning after injury or surgery
• Getting back into a routine after time away
• Or those looking for an intentional recovery or slower training day but still want to hit the gym.

📣 Because consistency isn’t built by pushing harder every single day; it’s built by listening. 🫶👂

Real progress happens when you show up in the way your body and mind need most. Some days that means high intensity and taking on a challenge, and some days it means slowing down, restoring, and moving with intention.

So if you’re looking for a controlled, mindful workout to help you stay consistent; our LMF Lite classes run Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8:00 AM. 🕑

Remember, your MisFit Membership gives you full access to every LMF class (in studio or online when offered via Zoom) including Beast, Lite, Mashup, Mobility, Push, and Stretch.
