WOW, what a weekend. I have to be cheesy and say my heart is so full after these last couple of days!
When I met Katrina of a year and a half ago, I knew she was the right person to help make this clinic idea of mine come to life!

We had a great variety of horses and riders which made it extra fun!

Day one was super interesting assessing each horse's movement and hearing everyone's thoughts. We delved into the topic of thoracic rotation and what it means to feel that in the saddle as well as seeing it on the ground.

Day two we saw some amazing changes in the horses following the bodywork and another lesson. We went deeper into the weeds of the mechanics of rotations and did a fun demo that made it pretty obvious how to spot these imbalances in a horse while standing and moving.

I want to give a huge shout out and thank you to Ottercrest Farms for the use of their facility this weekend. It is a gorgeous property and we are so appreciative to be able to use this space.

Thank you to all of the participants and auditors for creating a safe environment for learning and for bringing great questions to the discussions.

We are already planning how to improve this clinic format for next time so let us know if you'd like in on version 2.0 😉

Hi all

I hate to make housekeeping type of posts but it's unavoidable sometimes 😅

A new policy will be in place soon for new out of town clients. Most of the time, I don't have issues with receiving payment. Sadly, last year and so far this year I have had instances where I am chasing people for money (and being out of town makes this even more difficult).

For my regulars, thank you for being awesome! For those that I travel to (sometimes hundreds of kms) - if it's the first time you are seeing me you will be required to prepay. Those who have not paid by 48 hours prior will have their appointments cancelled.

I hope everyone can understand. I try hard to keep my pricing reasonable.. I haven't raised my travel costs for the past 4 or 5 years and if you look at the cost of fuel right now.. it is extra disappointing when people choose not to pay me after I have made the trip to their location.

Thank you! Back to regular scheduled programming - hope everyone is enjoying this gorgeous weather with their ponies 💜

We have ONE spot left for our upcoming clinic in Armstrong!

All disciplines, all levels. Private lessons catered to you and an osteopathy session for your horse.

This is a unique opportunity to work with 2 professionals and get nerdy about biomechanics!

Struggling with one-sided issues? Not sure if your horse is truly moving in self-carriage? Just curious about balance in general and looking for exercises to help?

Come join us!!

✨ Short term rehab board and/or regular full board spot available ✨

A space has become available for one more mare to join my two girls and one other boarder on our paddock paradise track system in Enderby. This is our little slice of heaven that we've built up over the past few years and I'm looking for the right long term fit for both the horses and myself.

Board includes:

- 24/7 turnout on our partially surfaced track system
- tested low sugar grass mix hay fed in slow feed nets plus free choice straw to nibble and nap in
- daily pasture turnout for a few hours (if your horse is okay on grass), ~may-oct ish
- loose mineral and salt as well as a variety of salt blocks
- heated auto waterer
- I will feed buckets 1x day (owner provides feed/supplements besides mineral and salt)
- many shelter options with soft bedding (huge shelter, 3 large stalls, tons of trees)
- 2 sand pits, hills, forested area, logs etc for enrichment (and passive conditioning ;))
- daily poo picking
- 65 ft sand round pen
- insulated barn with tack/feed room.
- amazing, unlimited trail riding out our back door (4 km loop trail on our property or ride out on crown land and explore Mt. Ida)
- gated property (boarders have a key fob)
- trailer parking for an additional fee
- bring your own (insured) coach if you like
- must have hcbc

Due to the nature of our setup and for the horses' safety I cannot accept those with shoes.
Horses must be easy going and respectful of electric fence.

Our set up is ideal for IR/metabolic horses, retirees, and rehab cases. There is no arena but there are 3 within 5-10mins drive that allow drop ins. This is a trail rider's paradise!!

Preference given to a rehab case - please message me for more information and pricing.
Rehab board will include osteo work and customized ground work program, strengthening exercises, etc

🤔 If you've ever wondered..

💭why your horse still falls to the inside even though your leg is always on?

💭 why your horse refuses to land the correct lead?

💭 why you feel like you're always collapsing to one side?

💭 why your bodyworker is always having to 'fix' the same issues over and over?

💭 why your contact feels all over the place?
.or any other nagging things during your rides..

Katrina ( Leviosa Equine ) and I would love to answer these questions and more at our upcoming Mindful Movement workshop!!

Join us for a weekend of collaborative learning where we discuss common balance and biomechanics issues and help you and your horse improve in all aspects of riding and groundwork.

It will be a small group of 6 with private lessons as well as lectures both days.
Osteopathy session with yours truly is included.

Come hang out a fun group of like-minded people who are seeking lifelong soundness of body, mind and soul for their horse ❤

All disciplines - take home exercises for both on the ground and under saddle.

Just one participant spot left ✨ Auditors warmly welcomed!

April 18-19 @ Ottercrest Farms in Armstrong, BC

A reminder that a lot of the time, little things can be big things (to our horses)!

There's been quite a few horses I've seen recently that have had dental imbalances and the way it impacts their behavior and every day life is all over the map. One thing that stays consistent though: the inability for my osteopathic treatment to stick unless those imbalances are addressed!
The TMJ and poll can't function 💯 unless good occlusion is present (alignment of bite). This is such an important junction that the rest of the body will then follow a pattern set by what's going on up front.

And please get your babies checked very regularly!
The filly with the molar misalignment in the photo will need to be checked more frequently than usual because of how her teeth can easily affect her cheek when even the slightest bit 'off'. Thankfully her owner is very observant and noticed little consistent patterns of behavior regarding her head and figured something there was bothering her.

A 30 minute (ish) session that was partially videod and sped up between 7 and 19x 😂
Xylan came up sore yesterday so he got a session that focused a lot on his source of pain (lower neck and first rib) along with a good dose of cranial work. 12 weeks ago he was kicked in the face and suffered two fractures. There was still some unraveling from that to do..even though he had also been worked on during the acute phase.

Thought a little video of dog work might be fun since I have only done equine ones before 😊
