Join un for a Celebrate the Spectrum Tie Dye Community Event, with many community partners The Summit Centre for Preschool Children with Autism, Behaviour Essentials Inc., Virtual Behaviour Services, Essential Autism, Thames Valley Children Centre, Inspired Sounds Music Therapy, Windsor Family Network, Autism Services Inc. of Windsor & Essex County, John McGivney Children's Center Wincity, AccessOAP, Children First and more.
This event is schedule March 25th, 4:00 - 6:30 pm, this is a free event to celebrate each individual with Autism. With many community partners for you to learn about resources in the community.
Families will gather in a welcoming and supportive environment to design custom shirts using a vibrant palette of colors. This hands-on activity encourages self-expression while offering a sensory-friendly experience for children and youth.
In addition to tie-dye, families can enjoy:
Entertainment- Balloon Makers, Face painting (4:30pm-6:30pm)
Community partner booths
Crafts, sensory play, Lego
Light snacks and more!

Looking forward to what 2026 holds for everyone! We will be closed from December 24th to January 1st and will re-open on January 2nd! ✨

These last few days have been so much fun in our centre! From baking and decorating cookies, to holiday themed sensory bins, to making popcorn and watching Christmas movies with peers! Our centre has been filled with lots of learning, laughter, and joy! 💚❤️🎄🎅

Windsor-Cooking with Confidence
January 12th, 19th, 26th- February 2nd, 9th, 23rd
Two Age groups- (Ages 13-17) & (Ages 18+)

Autism Ontario is excited to partner with Behaviour Essentials, and Big Spoons Little Spoons to offer an engaging 6-week cooking program! This unique experience is designed to help you develop essential cooking skills, explore new flavors, and make lasting friendships. Each week, participants will come together in a warm and welcoming environment to learn the art of cooking through hands-on experiences and shared culinary discoveries.

Cost: $30 per person, no refunds

Behaviour Essentials turns FIVE today!

The year has flown by and we have had so many exciting accomplishments as a business and as a team!

Here are some fun facts about our team and some of Behaviour Essentials’ accomplishments over the year:

💚 We currently have 2 Behaviour Analysts that oversee all of our services, including working one on one with our clients when needed! We need to keep our skills sharp and working with our clients brings us so much joy.
💛 We have 2 Trainees that are working toward certification (and are SO close to being able to write their certification exams!) Our wonderful Trainees help our Behaviour Analysts with so much behind the scenes to ensure that our clients are making progress!
💚 We currently have 8 of the most compassionate, caring, skilled, and hard working Instructor Therapists that work with our clients on a daily basis. Behaviour Essentials would not be what it is today without them.
💛 We have 1 Administrative Assistant that helps with so much behind the scenes to keep Behaviour Essentials running.
💚 We currently provide services to 42 clients across Windsor-Essex.
💛 We ran a LEGO social skills group in the Spring out of our centre.
💚 We partnered with Autism Ontario to run a cooking program that has been so much fun to do!
💛 We’ve been able to settle into our centre and truly make it a warm and welcoming space for our clients to learn. There is no better feeling than walking into our centre and hearing our clients laughing and having fun, all while learning.
💚 Our Clinical Supervisor’s husband is the silent hero behind our centre. Whenever anything needs to be fixed, moved, put up, painted, and more, he’s the one that’s comes in to save the day!

Last, but certainly not least, to our incredible clients and their families we have gotten to support, and continue to support, thank you for trusting our team with your children and allowing us the opportunity to watch them grow and learn. It is such a joy to see every big and small accomplishment and to be a part of your journey!

We can’t wait to see what this next year brings! 💚💛

That is a wrap on Summer 2025! It was such a fun and busy Summer filled with lots of learning and laughs. To allow our clients to transition back into a school routine and to give our team some time to complete training, team meetings, and organizing our centre, we will be closed for the first week of September! Wishing everyone a safe and fun filled Labour Day weekend and a smooth transition to school. We will re-open on Monday September 8th! 💛💚
