Mission Statement: Fundraising and supporting the developments of St. Joseph’s Hospital services, expansion of facilities and purchasing new equipment. St.

Located in Estevan, Saskatchewan Joseph’s hospital Foundation Statement of Purpose:
The Principal purpose of the Foundation is to assist St. Joseph’s Hospital to advance the welfare and good of the citizens it serves by:
a) Maintaining a strong feeling of goodwill towards St. Joseph’s Hospital; and
b) Raising funds for the purpose of St. Joseph’s Hospital through obtaining donations, grants and gifts, and such other means as the Foundation shall from time to time consider advisable; and in doing so exercise any powers set forth in the Non-Profit Corporations Act in compliance with relevant provincial and federal laws; and
c) The development of Health Care in the Southeast Health Region

Thanks to the generosity of our community, staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital are now using a new portable X-ray machine right at the bedside — improving comfort, efficiency, and patient care when it matters most.

This vital piece of equipment was made possible through Foundation support, with special thanks to Stacey Wempe and family for their generous donation. Your kindness is helping our healthcare teams deliver faster, safer, and more compassionate care close to home.

As we welcome 2026, we want to take a moment to reflect on what was truly an unforgettable year for our community.

This past year was filled with hard work, dedication, and a level of generosity that continues to inspire us every single day.

Together, we:

🩷 Reached our $6.5 million MRI fundraising goal, bringing life-changing diagnostic care closer to home.
💚 Purchased over $200,000 in new medical equipment, ensuring safer, faster, and more advanced care for patients across southeast Saskatchewan.
🩵 Witnessed incredible community spirit, with donors, businesses, families, and volunteers rallying behind local healthcare in ways that made a real and lasting impact.

From every patient who will benefit to every family who will feel peace of mind, thank you. Your support made this year one of the most transformational in our Foundation’s history.

Here’s to a new year of hope, progress, and community strength.

Thank you Montana and Nevada Sernick for their generous donation of $500!

They entered their 4H steers in an Average Daily Gain contest and won. They knew they wanted to pay it forward and chose the Hospital and the MRI project. These girls and their family have been a big part of our volunteer base for many years and we couldn’t appreciate them more!

We are incredibly thankful for the 1,200+ donors that came together to help bring MRI services to southeast Saskatchewan.

Every gift, big or small, played an important role in reaching our $6.5 million goal. This milestone wasn’t achieved by one person or one moment… it was achieved through the collective strength, generosity, and belief of an entire community.

We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding support we received from our rural municipalities and local communities toward the MRI for Estevan campaign.

Because of your leadership and your commitment to accessible healthcare, our RMs and municipalities contributed an incredible $1,574,000 toward bringing MRI services closer to home.

This level of support demonstrates what makes southeast Saskatchewan truly special — when our community needs something, we rise together.
