This simple art study taught me a lot. The lesson was to use two primary colours plus black and white and see the possibilities. As I worked around the mandala my mind couldn't help but see what a metaphor for life it was. In the beginning I had only two choices. From there each choice took me in a completely different direction. What would happen to the same colour if I started to add light? What happens when the dark comes in and over powers the beautiful reds, yellows and oranges? In the end the initial choice didn't matter...I would end up with the same blends. If the colours got muddy , I always had the next choice. With each choice I could return slowly to the bright and sunny colours that make my heart sing. Choices matter...but they don't have to be permanent π
