🌿 Some days feel easy, and some feel hard.

What often makes the difference is having someone who can simply sit beside you — not to fix or solve, but just to be there.

It isn’t always easy to share those moments. Sometimes we need a space that feels truly comfortable and safe… a space where we can take a breath, let things settle, and feel seen.

If this resonates, the space is here when you’re ready.

"Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.
There was a pause.
"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.
"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."
"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.
"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.
"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either.
"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."
And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right."
A.A. Milne
Sending thoughts to those having a Difficult Day today and hope you have your own Piglet to sit beside you.

~A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh

When we feel worried or anxious, it's easy to get pulled out of the present. Our minds often drift into the past-replaying things that have already happened- or race ahead into the future- thinking about what might come next. Mindful moments help us come back. They invite us to pause, notice where we are, and reconnect with our body. Sometimes that means focusing on something neutral: the feel of your feet on the ground, the sound of your breath, a list of everyday items, or the smell of a tea or coffee. Things that don't increase the worry, but gently anchor you to the here and now.

What are things that help you come back to the moment- and to yourself?

3 Quick Ways to Manage worry and feel better in the moment!
While we all feel worried from time to time, it is hard on our bodies and our brains to stay in that state for too long. Try one of the following to give your body and brain a break.

🌬 4,4,7 Breath- Breathe in for a count of 4, hold the breath for 4, and breathe out for a count of 7. Breathing is one of the quickest ways to regulate our nervous system and to calm our emotions.

☔️Use Cool Water. Splash some cool water on your face or put a cool compress on your chest. When we use cool water on our skin it sends signals to our ‘rest-and-digest’ system, which helps to slow our heart rate and breathing- which helps us to feel calmer.

💃🕺Move! Sweep the kitchen, walk around the house, or dance around to your favourite song! Moving our body releases anxious energy and has been shown to reduce levels of cortisol which is connected to stress.

Take a minute and try one of these strategies to manage your worry. Your brain and body will thank you!
