Groves Hospital Foundation's Mission: Dedicated to raising and stewarding funds for Groves Memorial Community Hospital, to ensure that the residents of Centre Wellington and surrounding areas receive optimal health care. Current Campaign - The New Groves Hospital Project: Our community deserves the best healthcare. A positive patient experience is at the forefront of our thinking. Our new facility will be a model in the delivery of patient-centered rural healthcare. It will have the ability to deliver a model of care that aligns with best practice; it will be capable of accommodating modern technology, providing a framework to address future flexibility and changes in technology; it will have welcoming public spaces and comforting views; meet accessibility standards; our new Inpatient Unit will be 80% private rooms; it will provide facilities that meet infection prevention and control standards and reflect best practices and evidence-based design; the overall footprint of our new hospital will almost double in size to meet the demands of our growing community. Earlier this week we had a very special visit from & with a generous donation for Labour & Delivery!! The Firefighters have been huge supporters of Groves Foundation since our start in 2002, and this was our second annual diaper delivery! This year, matched their donation, for double the support for new moms & babies in our community. Thank you!! 👏🏼👶🚒🧯

We are incredibly grateful to be the recipients of the Elora Fergus Today’s Teddy Bear Caper for the 5th year in a row!! They donated 50 brand new 🧸 and $4,600 towards vital equipment & technology at Groves. Since 2021, they’ve given a total of $22,600 to our hospital, and brightened the days of countless patients with the hundreds of teddies they’ve brought us!

We celebrated this Giving Tuesday by hosting our annual Staff Appreciation treats morning, which also kicked off 2 months of tea & coffee being sponsored for our staff by our incredibly generous donors. December was sponsored by RLB LLP (their third year in a row!) and January by donations to our Staff Appreciation Fund. We are so grateful that our community continue to show their thanks to our hardworking staff, physicians, & volunteers. Coffee & tea go along way to warm their hands & hearts as they provide care for our patients, 24/7. Thank you RLB! ♥️☕️

Groves Memorial Community Hospital, in partnership with Bayshore Integrated Care Solutions, is making it easier for patients with complex health needs to recover safely at home after a hospital stay. The program provides a dedicated team of nurses, personal support workers, coordinators, and social workers to deliver coordinated, compassionate care—helping patients regain independence while reducing unnecessary hospital readmissions. Because recovery happens best at home.

Ron & Merri-Lee donated these beautiful handcrafted charcuterie boards to the Gift Shop, to be sold to raise funds for Groves Hospital. They shared; “These are our donation to say “Thank You” for the kindness & patience of the Groves staff”. The boards were handcrafted by a craftsperson living with dementia. Thank you for this beautiful & unique donation, Ron & Merri-Lee! ♥️

Local artist Laura Faber, adds her artistic touch painting on our Café windows. Her colourful work will bring warmth, creativity, & some joy to our spaces throughout the winter months. This project is made possible through our partnership with the Elora Arts Council, supporting their mission to connect people through the arts.
