Back by popular demand! 🌲 Wild at Heart Forest School Summer Camp is back! 🎉
Registration is now open!

This summer, we’ll be diving into even more nature-based fun and meaningful learning, including gardening 🌱, wild plant harvesting 🌿, wilderness survival skills 🔥, mindfulness activities 🧘‍♀️, sit spot practice 🌸, creative play, and plenty of outdoor adventure!

Join us for magical summer days filled with forest exploration, hands-on learning, nature connection, and wild-hearted fun! 🌳✨

Ages 3–8 & 8–14
We’ll be running two age groups during the same week to help make sure each child has the best experience possible. 🎉

August 17–20 (Monday–Thursday)

I’ve had the honour of being the Athletic Therapist for this race for the past decade, and I’m hoping to be back on the support team again this year 🤞💪

Still vibing high after working the last-ever Singletrack 6 mountain bike race in the beautiful West Kootenays last week. 🚵‍♀️💥

I had the honour of being part of the medical team, helping incredible riders from all over the world stay strong through 6 unforgettable days of riding. It was a week full of grit, determination, and awe-inspiring trails. 🌲💪

My heart feels a little heavy knowing this was the final 6-day event, but I’m hopeful to join the 3-day version in the future!

Being a homeschooling mom and a forest school teacher has taught me lessons no textbook ever could. 🌿📚

Here are some of the truths I keep learning—out in the woods, at our dinner table, and in the beautiful mess of everyday life:

1. Let go of expectations – The plan is rarely the path. Flexibility is freedom.

2. Life is messy – Mud, emotions, learning curves—embrace the chaos. That’s where the good stuff grows.

3. Be present – The now is where connection happens. Nature doesn't rush, and neither should we.

4. Be playful – Your inner child is wise. Laugh loud, get silly, explore with joy.

5. Stop worrying – Most of what we stress about never happens. Trust instead.

6. Do stuff that’s scary – Growth lives just beyond your comfort zone. Say yes to the edge.

7. Be curious – Follow questions. Notice the tiny things. Wonder is the gateway to learning.

8. Nature provides everything we need – Healing, rhythm, joy, clarity—it’s all out there.

9. Be grateful & fill yourself up – Gratitude changes how you see. Rest isn't a reward—it's essential.

10. Trust the process – Learning is messy, slow, surprising. It’s working, even when it doesn’t look like it.

Here’s to wild hearts, muddy boots, and learning to grow right alongside our kids. 💚

🌿🎙 I had the honour of being interviewed by my long-time friend and colleague, Ula Naszynska-Spitzer, on a topic that’s incredibly close to my heart — how to combine nature therapy with athletic therapy to bring more balance, healing, and joy into our lives. 💚
