During a PEMF session, I will always watch to see how a horse is pulsing from one side to the other and here's why!
If your horse doesn’t pulse evenly from side to side during PEMF therapy, it’s likely due to differences in muscle condition, nerve sensitivity, or other physiological factors.
This can come from:
✨️ Injury or Inflammation: If one side of the horse has inflammation, tension, or an injury, that side may react more strongly to the PEMF because the therapy stimulates cellular repair processes in those areas.
✨️ Muscle Development: Horses often have asymmetries in muscle tone or development, especially if they’re ridden unevenly or favor one side. This can cause one side to respond differently.
✨️ Nerve Sensitivity: The sensitivity of nerves on one side may differ, either naturally or due to past injuries or compensatory movement patterns.
✨️ Circulation and Tissue Conductivity: Variations in blood flow or hydration levels between the left and right sides can impact how the electromagnetic fields affect the muscles.
