World diabetes day!

Sometimes caused by genetics, but most often caused by our bodies' inability to metabolize the amount of sugar we're intaking!

Whenever we take in any form of sugar our bodies have to respond by releasing hormones which allow the sugar to be turned into energy to either be used by or stored in our body. Over time the signal that the pancreas produces to turn sugar into fuel dwindles, leaving sugar to be free in the bloodstream which can cause damage to the blood vessels.

There's no cure for diabetes, which means prevention is the best method for living a long and healthy life. Primarily, staying on top of diet and exercise are the two main ways to ensure long-term regulation of your blood sugars!
However, even if there's technically no "cure", many people have shown a complete remission of symptoms by managing lifestyle factors!
