An Evening of Courage & Song 🎶

We were honoured to sponsor 15 veterans to attend An Evening of Courage & Song featuring the incredible Terry Kelly in Kensington, PEI.

The night was filled with heartfelt stories, powerful music, and deep gratitude for those who have served and continue to serve.

We truly believe in the power of community. We take pride in supporting the mental health and healing journeys of our veterans and first responders, not just in the clinic, but outside of our walls too.

For those who have served, community is an essential part of wellness. We’re honoured to support initiatives that strengthen those bonds and remind veterans that they are never alone on their journey.

Today, we honour Indigenous Veterans Day, a time to recognize the service, sacrifice, and strength of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples who have served, and continue to serve across Canada.

More than 12,000 Indigenous men and women have answered the call to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces since the First World War. Their courage and commitment were often shown in the face of discrimination, inequity, and hardship, both during and after their service.

At Nuvista Medicine, we honour this legacy by acknowledging the unique experiences of Indigenous Veterans and reaffirming our commitment to compassionate, culturally informed mental health care. Healing begins with listening, understanding, and respect.

Today marks the beginning of Veterans’ Week in Canada, a time to reflect, remember, and recognize the courage of those who have served our country with honour.

At Nuvista Medicine, this week holds deep meaning. Many of the individuals we care for have dedicated their lives to protecting others. Their strength, resilience, and stories remind us every day why we do what we do.
