Let’s get real about skin for a second. ✨

Hi!!! Janie Banville, Naturopathe here!

Lately, life has been a little more stressful than usual for me the past few months, and my skin has been doing its best to keep up. Between the extra stress and lack of downtime over the past few weeks, I’ve been dealing with some stubborn breakouts on both my cheeks and textured patches on my forehead and little bit on my chin that just wouldn't budge.

Our skin is often a mirror of what’s happening internally, and when stress levels spike, our complexion usually pays the price!

To give my skin the support it needs, I decided to give myself a microneedling session. I’m sharing these photos because I want to be transparent about what the process actually looks like—no filters, just the journey.

The most important part of this process? Aftercare. 🧴

When you create those micro-channels in the skin, you have to be incredibly gentle and intentional with what you apply. I’ve kept things simple and hydrating, and now that I’m at the 48-hour mark, I’m almost entirely back to my usual skincare routine.

It feels so good to hit the "reset" button. Remember: skin isn't meant to be perfect; it’s meant to be healthy!
