Providing excellence in eyecare and eyewear Downtown Optometry Clinic has been operating continuously in Fredericton NB for over 60 years! Mitchell Feero and Ms.

First on Queen Street and now on Dundonald Street, Downtown Optometry remains an independent locally owned and operated optometric clinic. Downtown Optometry Clinic has its origin with Dr. John Phelan who opened the practice in 1947. Dr. Calvin Smith took over in 1980, Dr. Mulherin joined in 2007, Dr. Bartlett in 2014, Dr. Etsell in 2019 and Dr.Cruickshank in 2021. All of our optometrists are graduates of the University of Waterloo Doctor of Optometry and Vision Science Program in Waterloo, Ontario. Did you know that there are only 2 Doctor of Optometry programs in Canada? An English program at the University of Waterloo and a Francophone Program at Universitie de Montreal! Our 5 Optometrists provide comprehensive vision health care and high quality eyewear along with 2 licensed Opticians- Mr. Natasha Wilson. We have an amazing support team of administrators, technicians and optometric assistants. We work as a team and are one big happy DTOC family!! Downtown Optometry Clinic strives to have cutting edge equipment, products, services and team training. We are excellence in Eye care and Eye wear.
