During those four years, he worked alongside the UNB Varsity Reds basketball team, the New Brunswick Black Spruce and Fredericton Loyalist rugby teams as a student trainer. After graduating from UNB, he attended Dalhousie University where he completed his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy in 2009. Since graduating he has worked in several different settings including time at the Saint John Regional Hospital, private clinics and a three-year stint working in Petawawa, Ontario directly on a military base. During this time, Scott gained experience working with a variety of client conditions including cardio-pulmonary, post-surgical, sports injuries, and all types of musculoskeletal conditions. Scott is Fredericton’s only certified clinician in Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy through the McKenzie institute of Canada, a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association, and is currently the Head Physiotherapist for St. Scott’s treatment plans focus on using active movements and exercise programs to develop specific, progressive movement patterns to successfully rehabilitate all types of musculoskeletal injuries. As an avid runner, Scott understands the complications that can arise while participating in endurance sports and has completed courses on the management of running injuries and gait analysis which give him insight into how to best manage and prevent these injuries. When out of the clinic Scott can be found running on one of Fredericton’s many beautiful trails, out for a hike, or spending his weekends away camping.
