Fun fact: my snake plant’s official name is Dracaena trifasciata (formerly Sansevieria trifasciata), also called Mother-in-Law’s Tongue.

This hardy succulent does more than look good. NASA’s Clean Air Study found it helps remove indoor toxins like formaldehyde and benzene, while releasing oxygen at night, making it perfect for bedrooms.
It’s low maintenance, reduces stress, and occasionally rewards you with delicate white blooms when it feels truly at home.

Can a simple weighted vest really improve your bone health? Here’s what I found after 3 months.
I started wearing a weighted vest to improve my bone density (especially important for women in midlife and beyond). My latest metrics show progress from the ideal range to the excellent range for bone mass! šŸ™Œ

Here’s what I’ve learned so far:

āœ… You don’t have to go real heavy to get results: I set my ego aside and started lower as I’ve had previous neck and back issues. I’m ok with building gradually.
āœ… Walking with a weighted vest can support bone strength, metabolism, and posture without adding pressure to your back when done correctly.
āœ… Consistency matters more than perfection. Even with travel (no vest) and busy days, I’ve kept walking or adding in weight bearing short workouts…and it’s paying off.

I know myself… if I skip my outdoor walks now, I’ll be less likely to go once the ā„ļøā„ļø arrives. So, sticking with it now matters.

Do you eat Steel-cut Oats? I hadn’t made them over the summer months, but the chilly mornings are here, so it’s time. šŸ˜€1...

Do you eat Steel-cut Oats? I hadn’t made them over the summer months, but the chilly mornings are here, so it’s time. šŸ˜€

1 2/3 cups oats
4 cups water
1 tbsp coconut oil (optional)
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Bring to a boil, turn off, and cover. Let sit 30–45 minutes while you get ready or fit in a workout, then top with fruit, seeds, or nuts to refuel and enjoy!

A few quick benefits:
• Rich in soluble fibre that keeps you full and supports healthy digestion.
• Helps lower LDL (the ā€œbadā€) cholesterol while supporting balanced cholesterol overall… our bodies still need some for hormone and cell health.
• Lower on the glycemic index, helping to steady blood sugar for lasting energy.

P.S. Not all pictures need to be pretty when you want to capture the moment early morning ;)
