Welcome everyone, to Reiki Roads Therapy. -WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) meaning "Universal Life Energy " is a method of treatment that brings about a profound relaxation effect by balancing the endocrine systems and using only a gentle touch of the hands or by holding hands a few inches from the body. It works simply yet very effectively. The deep relaxation that it brings about, allows areas of tension and congestion in the person to loosen and melt away, thereby allowing the person's own energy to flow freely again. This seems to enable their immune system to work better thus allowing healing to occur once again. It is used in many hospitals, including the Boston Children’s Hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, to help reduce pain and anxiety, speed healing from surgery and minimize side-effects of chemotherapy. Reiki can treat a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to:
soft tissue injuries, severe neck and back pain, migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, peripheral neuropathy, phantom pain, PTSD, facial neuralgia, bone spurs, arthritis, sports injuries, shingles, carpel tunnel, MS, CP, depression, insomnia and anxiety.
