There’s something beautiful and sometimes heartbreaking, about the work we do.
Being invited into people’s homes, week after week, isn’t just “cleaning.” Over time, clients become familiar faces… then friends… and before you even notice it, they become like family. We celebrate their wins, their new chapters, their babies, their fresh starts. And we feel their losses too.
Today, one of our very first clients — someone who truly became family — lost her beloved cat, Speed. The sweetest little man, with the most distinguished personality. I joked for years that I needed a baby carrier for him, because cleaning was nearly impossible when he insisted on being carried everywhere. And honestly? I never minded.
Losing him hurts. Not just for his mom, but for everyone he wove his gentle little paws into… including us.
This work gives us the privilege of being deeply connected to people’s lives. Their homes. Their stories. Their pets. Their hearts. It’s a gift — even on the days that ache.
Rest easy, Mr. Speed. You were loved by more people than you ever knew.
And the biggest hugs to your momma, who did so much for you and all your fury siblings.
