Healing starts in the gut, and this breakfast is built with that in mind. šæ
Never in a million years did I think Iād be eating liver for breakfast⦠and yet here we are.
Sometimes healing asks us to expand what we think we like. And sometimes what we resist becomes exactly what our body has been craving all along.
Bison and liver scramble with broccoli, carrot, and cabbage, topped with coconut aminos (from fermented coconut sap).
Bison is rich in iron, zinc, and B12ānutrients essential for energy, immunity, and nervous system health. Liver is one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet, providing vitamin A, folate, choline, and more to support detoxification, hormone balance, skin, and deep cellular repair. In many traditional cultures, liver was reserved for pregnant women and children because of how powerfully nourishing it is.
The cruciferous vegetables feed beneficial gut bacteria, support liver function, and help reduce systemic inflammationākey for autoimmune healing.
On the side: a baked apple with coconut oil, cinnamon, a touch of maple, and coconut cream.
Apples are high in pectin, a powerful prebiotic fiber that strengthens the gut lining, feeds good microbes, and supports immune balance. Coconut oil provides gentle, quick energy and antimicrobial support for the gut.
This is the heart of AIP:
Nourishing the body with vitamins, minerals, and gut-healing foods so it can calm inflammation, rebuild, and remember how to thrive. āØ
Iāve officially begun my full AIP journey (I was slowly easing into it), and Iāll be sharing it as I goāmeals, triumphs, challenges, and everything in between.
AIP isnāt just an elimination diet. Itās a whole-body healing lifestyle that honors sleep, gentle movement, nervous system care, and stress management alongside food. Itās about learning how to listen to your body, rebuild trust, and create rhythms that support true wellness.
This is a return to wholeness, one choice at a time. šæ sorry my photos arenāt prettier, Iāll work on that š
