We spent time in a small catamaran to see seals, porpoises and pelicans. But we only saw seals and seagulls. That’s ok. We were served Namibian coffee (which was port) and later a bit of lunch and sparkling wine. It was all a bit of fun.

After the Energies were sent out, the fog lifted we got into our tour van and went to Table Mountain which was incredibly high with stunning views.
Then we were off to the ocean to visit the African Penguins. My gosh they are so cute. The fuzzy ones are the babies. The penguins are much smaller than I thought they would be.
Then to Cape of Good Hope where we visited the most South Western part of Africa. So many seals along the way there.
It was a busy day and I wish we could have stayed another day in Cape Town.

Thick fog this morning at 5:30. We were up early to catch a tour in Port Elizabeth, but we haven’t even docked yet. The port is closed until the fog lifts!

This is not my photograph.
When we drove past houses on the hillside they looked poor. Then our guide told us that these “informal settlements” are communities were there is no running water, and no electricity for most. I had a hard time taking photos of them.
Made of wood, cardboard and corrugated metal. I can’t imagine how hard it must be for these people to live there.
Then we drove into the downtown area of the city to get to the cruise terminal. I saw high rise buildings that were falling apart and people were still living in them. Windows shattered, ripped curtains and concrete falling off the building.
It reminded me of the poorest neighbourhoods in Havana, Cuba where people lived in old condemned buildings.
Not everything is beautiful on this planet. I know all cities have poverty. When I travel I see much of it.

Such a beautiful countryside, an hour and a half drive away from Durban, South Africa.

Today is a sea day and after sending out loving vibes this morning I thought I ‘d share my photo of the beach we went to yesterday.
We took a taxi to Flic En Flac beach and it was perfect! I was able to hear the birds singing, the lap of the ocean on the beach and have a wonderful warm swim in the Indian Ocean. I felt rejuvenated afterwards.
Ron’s watch said the water was 29 Degrees Celsius! Perfect for me. 😁 The water was so salty that lifted me up and I floated easily.
Thanks for sharing your vibes to Mauritius with me. 💙
