The Easter Bunny is on the way… and Tux is ready!

Our clinic supervisor has already been hard at work “hunting” down a chocolate bunny around the clinic.
Don’t worry… Tux was just the finder, not the taste tester.
Now he’ll be supervising closely when the Easter Bunny arrives!

More Easter Pet Safety Tips...

Spring flowers can brighten your home, but some can be harmful to our pets.
Be mindful of:
- Lilies (especially for cats)
Even small exposure (including pollen) can cause serious kidney damage.
- Tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths
These can cause vomiting, drooling, and irritation, especially if chewed.
- Bulbs
The most toxic part of the plant. Pets that like to dig are especially at risk.

If you’re ever unsure if a plant is pet-safe, it’s always best to check first.

Those cute Easter baskets can hide a few risks...

Watch out for:

🧺 Easter grass filler
Can cause blockages if swallowed
🥚 Plastic eggs
A choking hazard, especially for curious chewers
🎀 Ribbons, string & small decorations
Can be swallowed and cause dangerous intestinal blockages

Keeping baskets and decorations out of reach can help avoid an unexpected vet visit!

If you're hosting an Easter egg hunt, keep track of how many eggs you hide to make sure your pet doesn’t find a “bonus” one later.

With Easter just around the corner…
Treats are fun for us, but not always safe for our pets.
Some common Easter foods can be toxic or cause serious health issues.

Keep these out of reach:
🍫 Chocolate
🍬 Candy (xylitol)
🍗 Fatty foods & table scraps

Even small amounts can cause stomach upset, or more serious complications.
When in doubt, it’s always safest to stick to pet-friendly treats and keep human foods out of reach

🐱 Unlimited access to all comfy spots
🐱 Accepting 3am zoomies
🐱 Being their full-time staff

4DX testing helps screen for heartworm and tick-borne diseases, making it an important step in keeping your dog protected as we head into parasite season.

If you’re unsure where your pet fits, we’re here to help!
Give us a call to learn more or to book your dog’s test.
