Radicle Root Herbs - connecting people with plants for a healthier existence for all 🌿🌼 Radicle Root Herbs is the actualizing dream of herbalist Munna Cleland.

In botany, the radicle is the first part of a seedling to emerge from the seed during the process of germination. They are the origin for the entire root system of the plant for its entire life.The primary root grows from the radicle and the herb then grows as the roots spread. The word radical, literally meaning 'of roots', strongly resonates with Munna's mission to educate and support people through their holistic healing journey. Herbalism is often considered a radical approach to healing, but it is also a tradition with very ancient and deep roots. Munna believes that herbs are a gift to all living creatures. They nourish, heal, and protect us. It is a valuable skill to know your local plants well enough to use them safely and respectfully. All herbs need to be treated with the respect they deserve. Many herbs require an in depth understanding to use them safely and many ailments/conditions should be treated by those qualified. One of the main goals of Radicle Root Herbs is to empower people to learn about herbs and to take their health into their own hands. We promote self healing and wellness maintenance, but also recognize the important role that qualified, experienced herbalists play in our communities. This page has been created to fulfill the goal of herbal wisdom sharing. We will be posting articles, recipes, research, folklore, questions, and much more. Are you keeping your body hydrated? 💧

The winter air (inside and outside) is extremely drying, and it can be a real struggle to stay hydrated. Even with humidifiers running or water pots on the wood stove, it is so hard to avoid dry skin, lips, hair, mouth, nose, etc. Drinking lots of water is wonderful, but did you know you can use nourishing infusions of demulcent herbs to help even more?

Hi! It's me. I am alive. 😅😘

This time of year, I often vanish a little bit from social media because the plants have started their slumber, and therefore, I am not out photographing nature that inspire me to post. Oops! Sorry about that y'all! 😬

I am, however, working away still. I have holiday markets each weekend right now. You can check my previous post for my schedule! I am also making and shipping out online orders. Plus, of course the homestead life does not stop when the plants do, so that has been keeping me busy too.

I've got things all tucked away and ready for the winter snow days now. I am keeping cozy by Loki, my wood cookstove. I am crafting when I have free time. I am hanging out with my darling child and my loves and community members. I am working on the Witch's Cabin.

So ya... now you know! 😊
