We celebrated Halloween in style today with tricks, treats, and spooky surprises around every corner! From our annual Halloween parade to a lively party at the pub, there was no shortage of fun. We wrapped up the night handing out goodies to all the little ghosts and goblins who stopped by.

This week we got creative and painted our pumpkins for our annual Pumpkin Painting Contest! Everyone did an amazing job showing off their artistic skills. We’ll be voting for our favorite designs and announcing the winner next week at our Halloween Party!

We had another fun mystery tour yesterday afternoon, guided by our GM. First stop was the former CN railway station, now home of FauxPop Media, content creators, editors, and producers of local and international works. Most recently, they won an award for editing the movie BlackBerry. Then we headed to East Street Cidery, where owner David Aylward told us about the long history of the building, from producing bicycles to shuffleboards, and bottling Coca-Cola. How fitting that it’s now a successful cidery. Thanks to the two local businesses for hosting us.

The Rotary Club holds its meetings here at Harbour Hill Retirement Community. It’s wonderful to see such a dedicated group come together regularly to discuss important community projects and make a positive impact.
