Today was a hard day. The day you never want to come as a pet owner.

Today we, as a family, said goodbye to our beloved clinic cat, Doogie 💙. He’s been with us for 16 years this month and to say there will be a hole in our hearts is an understatement.

He was our light, our joy, and our comfort when we had good days, and when we had bad. He loved his lickables, sitting outside at the back of the clinic, love from his humans, and snuggling in various locations around the clinic (in his bed, in the cupboards, on the lab equipment, the blanket stack, a nice office chair, and bonus if it was in the sun! He was the best saved kitten destined for euthanasia 💙

You will be forever in our hearts, Doogie! And forever missed! Till we meet again at rainbow bridge 🌈 🐈 💕

Due to medical reasons there will not be a veterinarian available at Gander Veterinary Clinic for emergency coverage this weekend. These are circumstances beyond our control. There will be an answering service with trained technicians available to triage your calls and assist as best as possible.

First of all, Happy Halloween to all of our furry friends and their families! We love seeing you in your costumes! 🥰

Second, we will be CLOSING EARLY TOMORROW, Friday Nov 1st. We will be closing 12pm, as we are all attending a conference in St. John’s to further our education.

If you need medication refills or food, it will have to be picked up before noon tomorrow. Thank you for your cooperation and sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
