Mercury retrograde in Pisces begins February 25 and runs through
March 20. Twenty-three days where the planet of communication,
technology, contracts, and daily logistics appears to move backward
through the most emotional, intuitive sign of the zodiac. Here is
exactly what to do before it starts, and how to move through it
without losing your mind.
BEFORE FEBRUARY 25.
Back up every device you own, phone, laptop, external drives.
Mercury retrograde is notorious for technology misfires, corrupted
files, and communication breakdowns, and backing up takes ten
minutes. Do it now. Reread any contract, agreement, or major
email you are planning to send. Read it again. Then read it
once more. The fine print you miss during retrograde has a way
of becoming very expensive very quickly. If you have a difficult

this. The emotional undercurrent is stronger than usual

WHAT RETROGRADE ACTUALLY IS.
Mercury does not literally reverse. It is an optical illusion
of orbital speed. Earth and Mercury orbit the Sun at different
speeds. When Mercury swings around the far side of its orbit
relative to us, it appears to slide backward against the
background stars, the same way a car on the highway looks like
it is drifting backward when you overtake it at speed. Ancient
Babylonian astronomers tracked this optical illusion with
meticulous precision for over 2,000 years. They did not know
why. They only knew that when Mercury moved this way,
the world felt different. They were not wrong.
