🚨 HELP SPREAD THE WORD 🚨

Community Health Needs Assessment - A Grand Manan Conversation on November 6th from 4 to 6 pm at the Immanuel Family Church.

The Community Developer for Horizon Health Network will be on the island for a community consultation and this would be a great opportunity for community members to voice any needs or concerns they have for community health and services on Grand Manan.

People can register by email or by phone. Please see details below on poster!

🚨Community Event at the Business Centre🚨

Substance Use & Harm Reduction Presentation with the Program Coordinator at Avenue B!

Diane will be talking about the individual and community impacts of substance use disorder as we explore why a harm reduction approach plays such an important role for healing communities 💜

Avenue B is a non-profit organization providing harm reduction services to people in community who are impacted by substance use disorder, as well as providing education and training for the prevention of communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C.

This event will take place on October 26th at the Grand Manan Business Centre upstairs in the AA/NA meeting room beginning at 7 pm!

Feel free to drop in if you have any questions for Diane or are just looking for more information regarding programs and services either for yourself or a loved one!

Narcan kits will also be available upon request!

This survey is part of a community effort to increase access to resources, training and community awareness of mental health & addictions and mental illness, acknowledging that access to resources can be more challenging in Southwest NB's island communities.

All the information collected from this survey will be reviewed by a team supporting these efforts to increase awareness and training for mental health on the islands. The team includes local volunteers and representatives from Horizon Health, ASD-S, Canadian Mental Health Association and the Southwest NB Service Commission.
