Our Purpose
Grandview Gateways Inc. provides residential and day supports to vulnerable adults living with an intellectual disability in the Parkland Area of Western Manitoba.
The day program is operated as The Friendly Corner Bakeshop, a non-profit community bakeshop and restaurant on Grandview’s Main Street. Connected with this is our Senior’s Activity Centre.
The Bakeshop provides a unique and rewarding work environment to the program participants. The Bakeshop also provides an important and busy meeting place for all members of the community. We are the popular choice for the community to gather and visit over coffee or lunch. With this popularity, comes the added benefit of the relationships that are formed between the program participants and the general community.
Programming at the Senior’s Centre includes teas, bingo, crafts, painting, afternoon baking, hairdressing, arm chair exercises, hot meal programs and children’s cookie decorating.
