Good evening everyone! I thought I would tell you about my journey to where I am now with becoming a RMT🙂
I wanted to become a RMT since I was young, of course it started out with my friends and family telling me I was great at it lol, and then I experienced my first therapeutic massage when I was about 13. I had ongoing therapy for about a year to help correct functional scoliosis. Not long after I decided to experience career day with a local RMT in GP, and that settled that, I wanted become a RMT after I graduated high school!
Long storey short, Ive also always wanted to have a family and to be a mom. As fate had it, I ended up with my not so little boy anymore (14), shortly after high school, and he got my attention for many years.
In 2012 I decided to enrol at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Edmonton for a 2 year long distance course. I graduated first year!! That summer life crept up again, and I suffered a Acl injury to my right knee. The road to recovery was quite long and I wasn’t able to drive for months, so decided to put off second year of schooling, and planned to re enrol the fallowing year. My little girls had bigger things in store for me, born 15 months apart, I was a busy lady!! (and a not so sane one at times 😆) But I had all 3 of my kids, my forever fiancé and my forever family ❤️
In 2018 I enrolled at ACMT in Grande Prairie determined the time had to be right this time! It was! I graduated in 2019 with honours with distinction both years.
I started practicing at Baly Therapeutic Massage and stayed for 4 years. I loved everything about it, it gave me the confidence and experience to do what I had set out to at the beginning of my career, to start a practice out of my home.
I’m now open and cannot wait to build up more clientele, and help you on your journey.
Happy Healing!!
