If your child is struggling with behaviour, focus, or hyperactivity, it doesn’t mean they’re a “bad kid,” and it doesn’t automatically mean they have ADHD. Children’s bodies are incredibly sensitive, and sometimes what looks like a behavioural issue is actually a symptom of something deeper.

Things like food sensitivities, nutrient imbalances, and even mold exposure can affect mood, focus, and behaviour in both adults and kids, but especially in little ones whose systems are still developing.

Today's lunch is quinoa, with roasted veggies and hummus.😋

I like to eat a late lunch because I typically do not eat supper until about 7:30. Waiting 5 hours between meals is one of the rules I try to follow, as constantly snacking can keep your insulin levels elevated, and elevated insulin levels can increase inflammation in the body, which can lead to many different health issues.

Here are a few foods iv been eating lately. It's definitely soup season in my house!

Most of these were new recipes for me.

🥒One was a delicious dilly pickle soup that I threw together.

🎃I also made pumpkin soup. It was earthy and amazing, and I wish I had meal prepped that one.

🍆 - not my favorite vegetable but one I have been incorporating into the diet more lately. Topped with the lentils in tomato sauce was actually quite good

🧋Smoothies - often my go-to breakfast. They are quick, and I can pack it full of nutrients

Oh how times have changed..

Sometimes, I like to start my morning off with a shot of apple cider vinegar and olive oil. Just to improve digestion, reduce morning blood sugar spikes and support absorption of my fat soluble vitamins like vitamin D.

It's fun for me to take it out of a cute little shot glass because they sure aren't getting used for anything else.😅

Let’s talk about the scale. 👀
When it comes to weight loss, I love a weekly check-in from my clients, especially those working towards metabolic balance. I use my scale myself—but only to track trends, not to obsess over every tiny number.

Because honestly…

#1: You’re working on why you want to feel better… why let a random number ruin your whole day?
#2: The scale fluctuates like crazy based on bowel movements, water, sleep, hormones, time of the month… basically everything. 😂

What’s actually more important?
✅ Inches lost
✅ How your clothes fit
✅ And most of all—how you feel in your body

So use the scale as a tool, not a judge. Let it guide you—not control you. 💛✨
