If you are in chronic pain and have been disappointed in finding therapy that works, please let me help you. My work is intense and almost surgical because I work out deep layers of the muscle as an acu@r+pressurist. As a yoga instructor of many years, having my own injuries and doing massage for many years I have a lot of knowledge and skill to offer you. I can combine both of these as retreats in your home, vacation home or at the resort to help you to continue to heal. If you have been stressed and you just need to relax, my relaxation massages are amazing. Imagine all muscles brought into balance and having a yoga instructor to massage stubborn muscles while doing yoga. Have you always wanted to find a yoga instructor who goes deeper for an expanded personal practise? You will get what you are looking for with me. I will also be teaching a number of very cool topics like a soul level tribal Middle-Eastern and East Indian. You can choose a day, a weekend or a whole week or more for the exclusive wellness retreats. I am a certified hypnotist, certified yoga instructor and a natural healer.

Hope all is well for all of you in this crazy world of ours. I have just spent a couple of years setting-up the website, learning zoom, healing from arthritis caused by spending way too much time helping others heal, keeping-up with my dancing and yoga, and other things that push the mind to full capacity including lots of desk work.

Hello. I have been writing a book about finding the greatness that we have lost in the study and practise of yoga and dance primarily. Of course i do include the other arts that I do. I have done a fair bit of research into the history of civilization over the course of billions of years to hopefully get a picture of the interrelatedness of these arts on the planet so I can try to determine where the origins begin. I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't really matter. The most important thing is that what happened, happened and it spread far and wide as if Braham was always there for kalpas. But what is interesting to note from this is that we are currently on some sort of spell that began; who knows for how long. It could be for 10's of thousands of years. What I am more specifically talking about is the phenomena of the formation of Christianity by the Romans as simply the imputus in God's name to rally troops to takeover the world. They were a sly and nasty bunch and have caused so much trouble that as we are sinking into the abyss, we are clueless of this. However there are some who for some reason see this very clearly and are fighting back. I am definitely going to be doing my part to help humanity to find their greatness, their connection to the cosmos so that we can have our god-given right back to live in a world that is all lighted-up with beautiful folks, incredible relationships with animals, wealth and happiness for all and people dancing, singing and playing struments just like they still do in tribal societies. God bless and have a nice day!

Hah!!! I just got told by someone in Ontario that I was the best massage therapist around and they were very sorry they didn't get to experience that. I told him it was correct. I think I was the best...but then...I didn't get to experience massages from more than three of them there. Anyhow, just reminding you about my new group page for Self-massage and yoga for arthritis. It is everyday from Monday to Thurs at 9am mountain time. The password is on my group page.

Hi there lovelies I seemed to have been neglecting you haven't I. I guess I just wasn't getting enough feedback to keep me enthused. But....I just want to tell you about something new that I am up to.
First of all I just want to tell you how this new direction occurred. Last spring after cranking out the massages and during spare time, going over and organizing material for my book, I left my yoga body behind. That had consequences.
In March I became crippled. I have spent most of the time since then working my way out of the mess and then deciding to...
share what I learned. Of course that meant I had to learn zoom...and still doing it because I want to make sure it goes smooth. It is more complicated than just joining a meeting when you are hosting.
So hopefully you will be able to see what I have learned in my zoom classes if you have come down with arthritis. It is such a horrible thing. It is crippling and that is not good. That is when alot of folks just give up. No way I am. I have so much to share with the world, as you can see from my posts, that I have to e healthy enough to get my wisdoms out to as many people as possible before my walk on this planetary orb is up. I have already made a contribution which I have not gotten enough recognition and monetarization for. I see it all over the net with the new ideas on yoga and how bellydance has improved. Hopefully I have helped to raise the bar of massage too.
Whenever you have something to add to the world, it is great.
Oh and I have a new website. It is called, TempleGoddessJourneys.net..duh. And I also have a group page now on Self-Massage and Yoga for Arthritis. If you want a virtual private class just get ahold of me. It is well worth it. I have come a long way in my healing from my method. Viritual group classes will be available soon.

Sorry people, I have been neglecting you. I have been more on my personal page in the last number of months because I have been getting some interest on there of my yoga work.

Wht I must share with you today is about healing from arthritis. It is a 120 billion dollar business so. of course they aren't going to tell you how to cure yourself. I am very interested now in this topic. At the age of 65 and a beefeater and lover of sugar, and someone who has been sedentary because of my work I have developed arthritis in my joints. This is unacceptable because I love to dance and am good at it and have much to share about it.

I have dug myself out of stiffness a number of times in my life not needing anything to be as good as new afterward for years without reworking. This period in my life is a big experiment to see if I am right. Last spring I was in big trouble with my lower back. I bet it. While I was beating that, I also had developed a very troubling issue with the muscles around my knees. That had been coming on for a couple of years. I beat it.

Then I tackled my IT bands because they were starting to give that arthritic ache. They have always been very tight on me. I never thought that I would be able to dig a tennis ball along the length of them with all my weight but I do now. They feel great.

As i worked on my legs though, I noticed other areas on my legs that weren't anywhere as bad except for behind the knee. So I ground that problem out with the tennis ball and then I noticed other areas. I don't actually remember the process of discovery but I found that I had stinging pains like knives going through me whn I pressed on the bones of my knees. I realized that was the cartilage, the part where the muscle connects to the bone. That is where arthritis typically occurs. So, with my background in turning things back to health, I dug in. It was excruciating. If I didn't know better I would have just stopped, thinking that I was doing something wrong. And of course the pain diminished more and more as I worked on it until there was no pain.

I had been having problems with knee bends like utkatasana. I thought the problem was an imbalance in the muscle because I have hip dysplasia even though it was only 6 years ago that I could do 50 of them in a row with absolutely no problem and holding them as well.

When I was in Guatemala I climbed up the mountain at the back of the lovely B and B that I stayed at. The owner wanted to check out his banana and coffee crop. I found it very hard to do and yet nothing stopped me before...keeping up with people in their 20's or even my grandchildren on the park play set.

I never thought that it could be arthritis setting in. That just couldn't be however I finally went for an MRI and the foreign doctor said with a mean smile that I had arthritis all around my knee. I was in shock. But truth is empowering. Now however, I have no problem doing knee bends.

Then my upper arms started crippling up. It might have been because of the way I was lifting the weights. So I worked on them. It takes awhile to dig it all out. You think, oh it is done now and then the disability of it creeps back in. I used the tennis ball again. I will be working on that for a while but hey I worked on my knees for probably a couple of months.

I went to two massage therapists for my arms and I prefer the tennis ball. It works much better. Unless a massage therapist listens to you. Unless they tackle the problem you come in for. Unless they can target the main issue. As long as they don't spend time beating you up because you offended their ego because they aren't doing their work properly.

My upper arms are still my present focus. This morning as I am typing my arms are much better. I can move my arms around every which way without any largely noticeable mobility issues or pain. However, when looking alittle deeper at what is going on, there is still work to be done to clean them right up. There is so much lovely work to do that I have done over the years with myself. For one, I remember when I was hitting it hard at the gym , I would do yoga there as well. I started to flex my hand backwards toward my arm the way you are supposed to do when lifting the arms at the side. At first it was really hard to stretch the wrist area and up. It took some work but years later I am still able to do it without a problem.

It is all these wonderful little details that yoga does for us to keep us functioning at our best. If you look on the internet, you might not find out what can be done to fix yourself so that is why you have to be a freethinker or luck out finding someone like me.

While I have been working on my upper arms, I thought it was about time I noticed the damage I had done to my elbow joint with all the killer massages I have done over the years. No wonder some massage therapists protect their hands and arms over helping the people that come to them; they don't know how they can heal themselves. Last massage therapist I went to had all kinds of bogus tricks to waste time. She had a very confident aire and talked her way through the massage about all the knowledge she had to make up for not being able to do a good job. That kind of thing doesn't impress me. Sure I have not always been at the top of my game because of life stress but I didn't try to hide that and was duly sorry because my aim was always to be there for the people that came to me.

Anyhow, getting back to the elbow area. Yup, it was a mess. I hurt so bad to touch for years that I didn't even want to go near it...but...working on the other areas made me brave. So I took the plunge with my thumbs and the tennis ball. Boy did that ever hurt. The muscle felt like shards of glass tht I was breaking down. My elbows are a bit swollen but they feel refreshed. I expect that they will take some time as usual.

At the same time. I have been working on my neck because alot of times problems in the arms is from problems with the neck and I haven't given my neck a good workover in a long time. Totally due. It is already feeling quite a bit better.

I forgot to mention that when I was hard at work on my knees last spring and summer, I also cleaned-up on the stiffness in my feet. They feel perfectly good now and I have no problem dancing.

The only problem I have now is that because I am doing all this little detail and because I cannot stand cold, I am not going for my walks and therefore am having trouble getting winded. I will just have to do more dancing.

So, I hope that this has been encouraging for you. The first on-liine course that I will be teaching will. be on how to deal with arthritis.

I just went to a massage appointment with the therapist that I liked. I thought that she was quite knowledgeable but no matter how much is learned in class, it takes time for them to apply that as an understanding. She has only been doing massage for four years so it is understandable.
I came in with a debilitating problem in my upper arm which I knew only required the kind of precision deep tissue work that I do. I pointed exactly to the muscle I wanted her to work on first and how far along I wanted it. It took 8 tries for her to find the muscle even though each time I showed her exactly where it was. I actually finally gave up on her next try and let her continue but she did finally start hitting it but alot of time was wasted.
She was usually right off the muscle not even on the side of it but really going at it like she was getting right down to business. The unfortunate thing is that alot of clients will not know any better and just accept and use up their benefits with little results. However, alot of clients come to me because they are searching for a therapist that is really good and usually stick with me after.
At one point I said that maybe she has an excellent technique for feeling like she isn't on the muscle but actually is haha.
It isn't fair though that, that kind of thing goes on.
In the end that muscle did get down to a functioning level but it still needs work. She did get to the cord on the left side of the bicep as well and since she did that second, she was much better at hitting the target. However there was not enough time to do the cord between those two others. It takes alot out of me to have to teach while I am getting massaged. It is frustrating and it drains me...and I am paying $100/hr.
I, on the other hand get right down to business and work on what needs working on. Of course it helps that I am 98% accurate as I am asking where and my technique really makes alot of progress fast.
It was bad enough but then we worked on the other area that was really bothering me. It would make me jolt when I moved a certain way. So I showed her exactly where I wanted it and then she asked if it is mostly on the ribs. Where I was showing her was the erector muscles along the side of the spine. I said yes it is mainly the ribs but I didn't mention that it was also the place I was asking her to work on because I thought I had already clarified. So she missed the place I pointed to but she did find a lot of places on my ribs so I let it go. I was pretty worn out by then and too soon the hour was up and I was needing more.
The place I pointed to, I was able to work out with yoga in the end because the other places were loosened-up.
But anyhow, I still like her because at least she doesn't get offended and I think she realizes that she can learn from me.

Well fans, I closed my lovely office because the economy is unstable right now. Too bad if you missed it. Anyhow I am now doing outcalls. Same great work as always but I am no longer doing charity. Even though I should be one of the highest paid therapists in the city, I just put my price up to $100/hr. That is fine. I don't want to gouge anyone. Because of my great reputation for being one of the few best in the city for massage work, people do not hesitate to pay the increase in price, of course.

Thank you to all my patrons. Much appreciated. And tell your friends who are in pain that there is a therapist who has technique refined from over thirty years. They might like to see how good that is.

Our Story

The benefits to my massage work are that not only do I thoroughly and articulately stretch out the muscles that have become tight and shortened but I then use techniques that ease the spine back into place. So I complete that job for you. That doesn’t always mean you are finished the healing process and, in which case, I show you stretches that help stabilize the rebalancing. I have been doing massage for so long that I have a whole kitbag of modalities. I borrow from Thai Yoga massage, Cranial, Energy work, Trigger-Point, Deep Tissue and on and on it goes. I just do whatever it takes to get the job done and really my business model is to have clients feel remarkably better so they don’t have to come back...but they tell their friends and colleagues why they feel SO much better. Yup! that’s how I work.

I was always interested in massage. I remember the first time that I went into training was with a group of friends one afternoon when we were three. We each took a turn sitting in a chair getting our shoulders massaged. We critiqued each other’s work. I then wondered how pain could be relieved because I had suffered with my back since I was about twelve. I would practice on my pets. Then at seventeen I practiced on my friends. One friend thought that since I was so into it she would give me a book on it for my birthday. It was a great book. Of course at first my work was most beneficial as a medium for travelling through the superconscious because it was so relaxing. I gained understanding of the therapeutic aspects here and there other the years from myself, clients and chiropractics and in India where I studied formally back in 1976.

I didn’t do it much for a number of years as I was raising my children but back in 1993 I started up again. My office didn’t really get rocking and rolling till about 1997. I received the honour of the name “Golden Hands’. People came from far and wide. I had clients from the big cities all across Canada and into the states.

I started teaching yoga at the same time I started doing massage. But by 2000, I was way too busy to teach yoga and besides there were enough teachers by then.
