Recreation plays an important role in healthy aging—both within our residence and throughout the community. This February, as we recognize Recreation Therapy Month, we’re thankful for the meaningful connections our Life Enrichment department creates every day.

Staying active is essential for healthy aging, and recreation therapy offers even more ways to enjoy it!

February is Recreation Therapy Month, a time to recognize how recreation and leisure activities support physical health, emotional well-being and social connection.

Ontario offers a variety of programs to help older adults stay active and connected, including Seniors Active Living Centre Programs, community recreation programs and local fitness activities.
