🧡 November is Indigenous Disability Awareness Month ( )

This month, we celebrate the achievements and valuable social, economic, and cultural contributions of Indigenous persons with disabilities across Canada.

Established in 2015 by Indigenous Disability Canada/British Columbia Aboriginal Network on Disability Society, IDAM also raises awareness about the barriers Indigenous persons with disabilities continue to face.

Many experience challenges that include limited access to healthcare, housing, education, and culturally appropriate support services. These barriers highlight the need for greater understanding, advocacy, and inclusion across all communities.

It is a time for reflection, learning, and action. Together, we can listen, understand, and work toward a more inclusive and accessible society for everyone.

🏒 Join the Sudbury Northern Sliders! 🏒

Looking for a fun and inclusive sport this winter? The Sudbury Northern Sliders Sledge Hockey Program welcomes players of all ages and abilities to hit the ice!

📅 Starts: Saturday, November 22 | 7pm–8pm
📍 Location: Northern Hockey Academy (1351 Kelly Lake Rd, Unit F)
💲 Registration Fee: $50 (sled and sticks provided)

Open to all Greater Sudbury residents with or without a disability. Players with disabilities receive priority.
