Let's not forget fibre!

Moms need 25-30 g of fibre every day. You need multiple sources from all sorts of plants to reach this. Beans are a great way to get both protein AND fibre in at once.

I love that cereals like are increasing their protein BUT check that they haven't upped the protein in sacrifice of the fibre. Cereals can be an easy way to get fibre in--theres other better sources of protein long-term (great in a pinch tho!)

Try adding up your daily fibre! It can be humbling but so important for your heart health, lowering cholesterol, your digestion (and colon cancer prevention!) and your blood sugar! 🙌🏼

We need your voice. Right now in Ontario, naturopathic doctors can prescribe vaginal and topical progesterone but NOT oral micronized progesterone (OMP), which is the gold standard recommended by menopause and women’s health specialists.

The College of Naturopaths of Ontario is asking for public feedback on whether NDs should be able to prescribe OMP. This simple change could mean better access, fewer delays, and more coordinated care.

If you've worked with an ND, your story matters. Write to the College before Monday, Sept 8 at 5pm EST and share how your ND has supported you, any challenges you’ve had accessing OMP, and why you believe NDs should be able to prescribe it. Even a two-line email can go a LONG way! If you need inspo, there's a link in my bio with a sample email with all the details.

And, if you're a practitioner reading this, your feedback is also being collected: go do this ASAP!

It’s not a willpower problem. It’s a systems problem.

If you're tired of starting over, falling off track, or wondering why eating well and exercising still isn’t working — it's time to stop blaming yourself.

Busy moms don’t need more motivation.

They need:

✔️ clinical assessment to rule out things like low iron, thyroid dysfunction, and hormonal shifts
✔️ a real-life strategy for movement, meals, and habits that fit their schedule
✔️ evidence-based support to change behaviours that actually stick — even during soccer season, back-to-school chaos, or sleepless nights

This is what I do every day with my patients.
As a naturopathic doctor, I use lab testing, diagnosis, and full-body evaluation to uncover what’s really going on — and then we build a sustainable care plan you can actually follow.

Because waiting until life slows down to prioritize your health?

Just means waiting until it gets harder.

Insulin resistance is a key driver of Metabolic dysfunction–Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MASLD), commonly known as fatty liver. It often goes unnoticed but can lead to fatigue, weight gain around the abdomen, and long-term liver damage if left unmanaged.

The good news: MASLD is reversible.

✔️ Engage in at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity most days
✔️ Reduce intake of added sugars and refined carbohydrates
✔️ Prioritize consistent, quality sleep (7–8 hours/night)

Even small, consistent changes can significantly improve liver health and insulin sensitivity.

You got an all clear but you still feel off.

If you feel stuck—struggling with exhaustion, stubborn weight, or your hormones—you’re not alone.

A lot of moms are told, “Once your kids are older, your body will bounce back.” But for many, this doesn’t happen.

Instead, you might feel:

✔ Constantly tired, no matter how much sleep you get.
✔ Stuck at a weight that feels impossible to change.
✔ Trapped in cycles of cravings, stress eating, or feeling out of control.
✔ Moody or irritable, which spills into how you show up for your family.

Why does this happen?

Because after pregnancy, your body changes—and so do your hormones. These changes don’t automatically reset with time. What used to work (counting calories, cutting carbs, or random workouts) probably isn’t working now.

Here’s the truth: If your hormones aren't working for you, they’re holding you back. And when your hormones and metabolism are off, it doesn’t just affect your weight—it affects your energy, mood, and how you feel every single day.

But here’s the good news: You can feel like you again.
You don’t need restrictive diets or hours of workouts. You need a system designed for moms like you, whose lives are busy but who are ready to feel amazing again.

That’s why I created the Mom Reset System—a proven 3-month coaching program designed specifically for moms who want to:

✔ Regain energy and feel less exhausted.
✔ Fix their mood swings and cravings.
✔ Build fitness and nutrition habits that fit into their hectic lives.
✔ Finally reach a healthy, sustainable weight.

It’s about making small changes that work with your lifestyle, not against it. And it starts with learning how to reset your hormones and metabolism.

You don’t have to keep settling for feeling “blah.” If you’re ready to show up as your best self for your family and feel great in your own skin, let’s make it happen.
