The crazy amount of snow we have prevented us from walking at Delki Dozzi today, but we made the best of it and did some crafting and moving our bodies indoors! 💃 🐰 🎨

We had a blast at Dynamic Earth today! We polished rocks, panned for gold, and did so much other exploring! 🪨 🫎

The wacky week of weather kept us in today, but we still ended our week with a bang! We had a blast making homemade popcorn and enjoying a theatre experience at the program with some of our students! 🎥 🍿 ❄️

We also celebrated a very special young man’s birthday today! Happy Birthday Alex! 🥳🎉

Northern Exotics Part 2!

We had such a blast today with an amazing visit from Northern Exotics! We had a great time meeting so many neat animals and learning all their habitats, behaviours, food, etc. We also did a few St. Patrick’s day activities since we missed our party due to snowmaggedan! 🐰🦎 🐍 🍀

We’re officially dug out!! Thank you Frank who came to the rescue with his backhoe and Rob for all of his snowblowing! We may have a new 12foot snow fence around our yard, but our building is accessible and that’s all that matters! 😅 ❄️

Thank you again to all of those hard working plow drivers out there who are still actively trying to dig us all out of this mess!

*Please note that all of the streets around our program are only one lane, so please drive with caution and have patience with Gova+ and other fellow drivers!* 🩵 ❄️

📣 *CLOSURE* Wednesday March 18th

Due to our inaccessible parking lot, unfortunately the FOA Day Program will have to remain closed one more day as we await to be dug out from this giant blanket of snow. We will be re-opening Thursday, March 19th once our parking lot is plowed and accessible. Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding, and thank you to all of those hard working plow drivers who are out there working tirelessly to get this city dug out! ❄️

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone Thursday! ☺️

📣 *CLOSED* MARCH 17th

Unfortunately, we have made the decision to remain CLOSED tomorrow, Tuesday March 17th. We have spoken to Gova+ and they are still not operational. There is also still a Special Weather event issued, and with many side roads still not being plowed, we believe that our best (and safest) option for everyone is to remain closed. We do not want anyone risking travelling with the conditions still so unpredictable. Gova+ has been advised that we will be closed, and are hoping that all of the city plowing will be done in time to re-open again on Wednesday!

📣 * CLOSURE* MONDAY MARCH 16th!

The FOA Day Program will be CLOSED Monday, March 16th due to the high-impact snow storm that is currently hitting our region. They are predicting 30-50+cm of snow, freezing rain, high winds and zero visibility tonight moving into Monday. With this being said, everyone's safety is our top priority and we do not want anyone risking driving in this crazy snow storm. Please note that Gova+ has been notified of our closure and all rides for tomorrow (Monday) with Gova+ have been cancelled.
