Meet Ruby! A beautiful poodle who unfortunately was inside of her owner’s vehicle, when another driver rear ended them. As a result, Ruby has been dealing with concussion symptoms, nausea, vomiting and change in overall behaviour for one year. This was the difference in the appearance of her eyes after only ONE OSTEOPATHIC TREATMENT. We focused on cranial therapy, a spinal tension release (whiplash relief), a diaphragm tension release and vagus nerve releases to help minimize all her symptoms.

How Osteopathy Can Help Dogs

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy that can benefit dogs in a variety of ways, from pain relief to improved mobility. Osteopathy is a holistic approach to health and healing, focusing on the connection between the body’s structure and its function. Osteopaths use a hands-on approach to assess and treat the musculoskeletal system, aiming to restore balance and harmony within the body.

Osteopathy can be used to help treat a range of conditions in dogs, from arthritis to hip dysplasia. One of the main benefits of osteopathy for dogs is pain relief. Osteopaths can identify areas of tension and tightness, and use gentle massage techniques to relieve pain and discomfort. Osteopathy can also help to improve range of motion and flexibility, by releasing contracted and restricted muscles. This can help dogs who are suffering from conditions such as arthritis, which can cause stiffness and reduced mobility. Osteopathy can also be beneficial for dogs who have suffered an injury.

Osteopaths can help to reduce swelling and inflammation, and can assist in the healing process. Osteopathy can also be used to help prevent further injury by restoring balance to the body and encouraging correct posture. This can be especially beneficial for working and sporting dogs, who are more prone to injury due to the demands of their activities. As well as being beneficial for treating existing conditions and injuries, osteopathy can also be used to help improve overall health and wellbeing.

Osteopathy is a safe and effective treatment for dogs. Osteopaths use a range of gentle techniques and exercises to assess and treat the body, with the aim of restoring balance and harmony. Osteopathy can be used to help treat existing conditions, as well as to help prevent further injury and improve overall health and wellbeing. Osteopathy can be a valuable addition to any dog’s healthcare regime, offering a vast range of benefits.
