Unpopular opion alert!

Although your laundry detergent may smell amazing, it could be causing you a ton of harm!!☣️⚠️

Did you know that a lot of the laundry detergents at the grocery store are riddled with toxic chemicals like synthetic fragrances, artificial dyes, surfactants and dioxane, which can cause major issues for you and your families health!

The good news is, there are tons of new non toxic options coming to the market.

But don’t get fooled by the “natural” trap on the ingredients label as it is a common marketing tactic and referred to as “greenwashing”.

If you aren’t sure which ones are non toxic, check out or make your own!

DIY Powder Laundry Detergent Recipe:
-1/2 cup Epsom Salt (cleans and freshens)
-1 1/2 cups Sodium Bicarbonate aka baking soda (natural softener)
-1 1/2 cups Sodium Carbonate aka washing soda (natural cleaner and powerful water softener)
-1/4 cup Sea Salt (softens)
-20-25 drops Essential Oils (optional)

1. Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and blend well. Make sure to blend any clumps if using Essential Oils.

2. Store in a glass jar of choice with a lid

3. Use 1 heaping Tablespoon per load (for extra large loads or heavily soiled loads use 2 Tablespoons)

I personally add 1/4 cup of vinegar into the “fabric softener” area to help eliminate odours!

I also use wool dryer balls instead of fabric sheets!

Well here we are almost one full month into the New Year. Did you make a New Years resolution in regards to your health that you've already given up on?

This chilly fall morning calls for a Pumpkin Spice Latte, but my own take on it, without all the added refined sugar. My hormones will thank me later!

On that note and since it’s Halloween today, it only seems fitting…

PSA:
Did you know that your sugar intake 🍫🍭could be contributing to your hormones being out of balance? This is due to insulin levels and if they are too high, then there will be an increase in estrogen and testosterone, which will disrupt your body’s natural hormone cycle. Which could lead to things like acne, fibroids, heavy periods and more.

Pumpkin Spice Creamer Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup of canned coconut milk
1 cup of your favourite unsweetened milk
(I used Elmhurst Milked Cashews)
2 Tbsp of puréed pumpkin
2 Tbsp of pure maple syrup
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/4 tsp of pumpkin spice

*If you don’t have pumpkin spice on hand, it is a mixture of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice and cloves.

Directions:
Add all ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth.

🎃Add it to your favourite beverage, both hot or cold!
🎃Store it in a mason jar in the fridge.
🎃Shake well before each use!
