Student Support Workers The Mental Health in Schools program is integrated throughout 11 rural schools in the Peace River School Division. parents and our communities.

Student Support Workers assist teachers in equipping students with skills for good mental health, primarily working with groups to preemptively address challenges before they arise. The strategic approach of the mental health in schools program is to incorporate positive mental health learning in our schools with partnerships from our schools, staff. Our approach is offering not only classroom support but taking on a whole school approach inclusive of both staff and students as well as seeking out community partners who could play a role in supporting mental health in our schools. Supports and services provided in our Mental Health in Schools Program:
