On October 16, World Spine Day raises awareness of spinal pain and disability, which affect people of all ages worldwide. The 2025 theme "Invest in Your Spine," highlights the importance of proactive spinal care for lifelong health and well-being.

In Ontario, we are championing this message by supporting the government’s proposal to authorize chiropractors to order MRIs, CT scans and diagnostic ultrasounds - a change that would help patients start recovery sooner and get back to living their lives.

A little message from Dr. Carly ☀️
She’s back in the flow of office life and opening up more time to welcome new faces (and familiar ones, too). Read on to get to know her a little better:

Hi, I’m Dr. Carly Manderson!

After settling back into clinic life over the last year following maternity leave, I’m excited to be opening up more time in my schedule to welcome new patients.

I was born and raised right here in Guelph, and it’s a real privilege to care for the individuals and families that make this community so special.

Growing up, I was deeply involved it the local hockey community in Guelph. I went on to captain my team at Western University, followed by two professional seasons in Switzerland and Australia. Those years taught me so much about performance, resilience, and the importance of taking care of your body. These are lessons I bring into my practice everyday!

I work with patients of all ages — from newborns and kids to parents, athletes, and seniors — with a strong focus on movement, function, and everyday wellness.

Whether you’re dealing with everyday aches, sports injuries, or simply want to feel your best, chiropractic care can make a big difference — and now is always a great time to start!

I’d love to meet you and support your goals, whatever stage of life you’re in!

📚Back to school season is here — which means backpacks are back and even our most loyal patient is geared up! 🎒

As kids head back to school, keep these spine-friendly tips in mind:

✔️ Choose a backpack with padded straps and waist strap
✔️ Keep the weight under 10-15% of the child’s weight
✔️ Wear both shoulder straps — not just one
✔️ Pack the heaviest items closest to the back
✔️Adjust straps so the backpack sits snugly against the upper back

Also, a friendly reminder that we will be closed Monday, September 1st for Labour Day, and will reopen as normal on Tuesday, September 2nd!
