It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the anticipated closure of ARCH, on March 31, 2024

It’s been a difficult two years for ARCH as we’ve rallied and done the work to keep providing support to our community. We come bearing tough news. We received a message from the Ministry of Health that we would no longer be recieving funding as of March 31st, 2024.

This was a big surprise to us. We rely on this funding to support our leadership, women’s community work, harm reduction, trans support programs, HIV support programs, and so much more.

In the meantime, we want to thank you so much for standing by us. Your support has meant everything to us, even if it’s just for a little while longer. We’re grateful for you.

We’re asking for your understanding and support during this difficult time. Our staff and clients are facing many challenges and it’s not easy.

If you have questions surrounding access to support and services you previously received from ARCH, stay tuned for a comprehensive FAQ post soon.

Honouring Black women and 2SLGBTQ+ people living with HIV. With bold and gentle love.

“I am a feminist, and what it means to me is much the same as the meaning of the fact that I am Black; it means that I must undertake to love myself and to respect myself as though my very life depends upon self-love and self-respect.”

June Jordan
