The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital Transforming healthcare through giving. At Guelph General Hospital, every piece of equipment used in the direct care of patients comes from a community donor.

Not all essential costs are covered by government funding. Local community support is essential to the ongoing work of a hospital. Right now, you can join our record-setting $34 Million campaign which will address urgent needs. Your donation will help us expand our Emergency Department and include much-needed, dedicated spaces for mental health and addictions care. We will invest in new patient care equipment and technology, and we will upgrade our Special Care Nursery to support our tiniest patients, and their families. As Breast Cancer Awareness month comes to a close, the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital is honoured to share news of a landmark $1 million donation from the Barzotti family. The donation will support a new mammography suite at Guelph General's community-based medical centre, which will be named in recognition of the Barzotti family. For Bruna Barzotti, a breast cancer survivor, the gift carries special meaning. 💜✨

These young players made a big play for local healthcare! 🏈💗

We're proud to recognize the U10, U12, and U14 Jr. Gryphons of the Guelph Minor Football Association, who have been sporting pink all month long to raise awareness for breast cancer. Through the sale of pink armbands, the teams raised $500 in support of the new medical centre, including a dedicated breast assessment clinic.

Thanks to the FDC Foundation, their donation will go twice as far with a 2x match. Now, that's a touchdown for community care!

We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Ross McKinnell, a long-time supporter of Tour de Guelph and a true champion of community care.

Ross's dedication to Tour de Guelph helped raise over $60,000 for patient care at Guelph General Hospital, and his leadership through Team McKinnell inspired many. In 2021, Ross was proudly inducted into our Hall of Fame, a true reflection of his generosity and impact.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the McKinnell family and all who knew and loved Ross. His spirit will continue to ride alongside us – in every pedal stroke, every act of giving, and every life touched by his generosity.

A service will be held on Saturday, October 11 at 1:00 pm at Trinity United Church, 400 Stevenson St. N., Guelph.

The Hunter Family Foundation has contributed $1 million to support the new community-based medical centre at Conestoga College's Guelph campus.💜🏥

An extension of Guelph General Hospital, the medical centre will house advanced diagnostic imaging, like a second MRI and a new ultrasound suite named in the Hunter family's honour, improving timely access to care for thousands across Guelph-Wellington.
