Observed globally on World Hearing Day, this initiative led by the World Health Organization raises awareness about hearing health and early intervention.
The 2026 campaign focuses on children’s hearing, emphasizing early screening and treatment in schools and communities. Around 90 million children aged 5–19 live with hearing loss, yet many cases remain undetected.
Because when hearing problems go unnoticed, they affect speech, learning, and confidence. Early care can protect education, communication, and long-term wellbeing.
Awareness leads to access.
Access leads to opportunity.
Awareness should not end on March 3.
Early screening and accessible hearing care must continue all year.
