Observed globally on World Hearing Day, this initiative led by the World Health Organization raises awareness about hearing health and early intervention.

The 2026 campaign focuses on children’s hearing, emphasizing early screening and treatment in schools and communities. Around 90 million children aged 5–19 live with hearing loss, yet many cases remain undetected.
Because when hearing problems go unnoticed, they affect speech, learning, and confidence. Early care can protect education, communication, and long-term wellbeing.

Awareness leads to access.
Access leads to opportunity.
Awareness should not end on March 3.
Early screening and accessible hearing care must continue all year.

As the third month of the year, March is dedicated to Trisomy Awareness Month.

It is a time to increase awareness and education about trisomy conditions, celebrate children who continue to thrive, and honor the lives of those who have passed away.

Trisomy occurs when a person has three copies of a chromosome instead of two. The most recognized form is Trisomy 21 known as Down syndrome. Other forms include Trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome) and Trisomy 13 (Patau Syndrome).

Trisomy Awareness Month extends beyond medical information. While education remains essential, this month also acknowledges the deep bonds families share with their children and the diverse experiences that shape our community.

Behind every diagnosis is a child.
A family.
A story.
A life deserving dignity, access, and opportunity.

At Power Plus Mobility, we believe inclusion begins with understanding and is strengthened through accessibility.
This March, we stand with families, caregivers, and individuals living with trisomy conditions, in awareness, in compassion, and in community.

Rare diseases are not rare when you count the people.

Over 300 million individuals worldwide live with a rare disease. Many face delayed diagnoses, limited treatment options, and barriers to specialized care.
Seventy-two percent of rare diseases are genetic. Many are lifelong and evolving. Many are misunderstood.

Rare Disease Day is a reminder that awareness drives research. Research drives access. Access changes lives.
We stand with individuals, families, and carers advocating for equitable healthcare and inclusive systems.
No one should be left behind.
