Our annual Christmas Bazaar is back!!!

On Saturday November 22nd from 10am to 3pm here in the Village of Arbour Trails. All along Main Street will be over 20 local vendors, live music, prizes and photos with Santa! A whole lot more to come so we can not wait to see you all there 🎅

Leading up to Remembrance Day, we had the privilege of hosting a showing of the film “We Lend a Hand: The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes” — followed by an inspiring Q&A with director Colin Field, Bonnie Sitter, author of Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz: Memories of Ontario Farmerettes, and our very own Gloria Carter, who appears in the film and once worked as a Farmerette herself.

The film, inspired by Bonnie’s book, shares the incredible story of the young women who stepped up during WWII to work on farms across Ontario — a vital and often forgotten part of our province’s and Canada’s history.

Thank you to Colin, Bonnie, Gloria and .film for sharing this powerful story with us, and to Gloria for her service and strength ❤️ 🇨🇦

Today was spent honouring the fallen and the survivors, the sacrifices created, and remembering a history woven into our everyday freedoms. While peace today in some parts of the world remain fragile, we never forget the men and women who served and continue to serve to keep peace.🇨🇦 🍁

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

A day to focus on efforts supporting and promoting the stories shared and passed down to us. Stories told by those who lived them and are around today to courageously tell them. Stories that were passed down from those before, but not long ago.

We are grateful to have spent a day in Mohawk Park with some members from the Six Nations.
