I really appreciated this article that was posted in the "Conscious Business for Coaches" LinkedIn group.

Being a leader is not easy, and naturally brings a certain amount of stress as you juggle executive decision-making, tasks and relationships.

The following text stood out for me around staying connected to your deeper values and meaning as you navigate overwhelming or stressful dynamics at work or in your personal life. It is exactly what I love doing with my clients -- to find soul-utions when sorting out their problems.

This week in my Heart Check-in Video, I talk about the importance of heart leaders holding grounded hope -- rather than fake positivity--in this troubled world.

It reminds me of the attitude I had to have when my father, who I had a difficult relationship with, got dementia.

The whole scenario was a bundle of hot messes, and it looked like my father was going to have a very tragic ending--including being unhoused.

I had to hold grounded hope in my sister's advocacy and my ability to rise above our estrangement and take compassionate, small action steps. I had to believe we lived in a more merciful world.
