A few years ago, I was stuck in a pattern I couldn't break. I was trying to build a business the way all the other coaches were doing it. Podcast guesting, content creation, branding, offering free stuff...yet nothing landed. Or if it did, it just didn't feel like me.

What I didn't realize is that I was stuck in trying to fit into and be accepted by other coaches or women entrepreneurs just to prove my worth. I fell into the ego trap of comparing myself to others and demeaning my own inherent self-worth.

I was too worried about: "Where do I belong? Where could I get support? Where could I fit?" that I lost touch with my "why" and "how can I help?".

It was after much soul searching and self-honesty that I realized that I wanted to help kind and good people succeed on their terms. For me, it's all about spreading love and goodness into the world....because the world so desperately needs ethical and caring hearts to thrive.

So I re-positioned myself this year as a Heart & Biz Mentor--someone who holds compassionate and curious space for people to sort out their hearts, get honest with themselves in their life and relationships, muster up the courage to follow their heart's truth, and design practical and inspiring business strategies.

All of this feels right to me. I don't have to prove myself to fit into a box of the world's labels or limited definitions. From here, I can stand calmly, naturally and confidently in my truth.

This realization about me and my business, taught me that surface-level solutions, like trying to do what everyone else is doing, only create temporary relief. But soul-utions? Those change everything.

Sometimes we don't need another strategy. We need to ask ourselves the questions we've been avoiding.
