Thank You for a Wonderful Christmas Market!

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who came out and supported our Christmas Market. Your enthusiasm, kindness, and community spirit made the day truly special. We’re so grateful for the support of our village and our amazing local vendors whose talent and hard work filled the market with holiday magic.

We were also delighted to welcome a very special visitor; Santa himself stopped by, bringing smiles, laughter, and candy canes to shoppers of all ages.

Thank you for helping make this year’s market such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Residents and team members on the Egerton neighborhood came together for a wonderful resident-led art project—an idea inspired by our residents to create, collaborate, and get to know each other in a new and meaningful way.

The room was filled with conversation, laughter, hot chocolate, and plenty of cookies as everyone explored their own artistic expressions. It was a beautiful reminder of how creativity brings people together and strengthens our community.

We’re grateful for the shared moments, new connections, and the joy that comes from creating something side by side.

Today, our Men’s Club - joined by friends from across the Village took an exciting trip to the Toyota Plant for a behind-the-scenes tour!

This outing grew from their monthly socials, where conversations flow easily about everything from heritage, careers, and hometowns to family stories and, of course, their shared love of cars.

With our Administrator Assistant and Recreation Aide leading the way, residents enjoyed a wonderful journey through the past, present, and future of automotive innovation. It was a day filled with learning, nostalgia, and lots of smiles.

What a memorable trip for an incredible group of gentlemen!

Virtual Travel Day at Riverside Glen

Today our residents took part in an incredible virtual journey to Australia using
VR mobility sets. These immersive devices allowed everyone to experience Australian beaches, wildlife, and famous landmarks as if they were truly there. The smiles, laughter, and expressions of wonder made it a memorable day for all.

At Riverside Glen, we are committed to bringing innovative technology to our residents that create meaningful and engaging experiences.

We were thrilled to host the Jam Music School showcase at the Village! Our hearts were full listening to Raha and her talented students share their music with our residents. Their beautiful performances filled the room with joy, smiles, and toe-tapping tunes. Thank you to Raha for volunteering her time and for bringing such a special experience to our community. Moments like these remind us how powerful music can be in bringing people together. 🎶

Residents from all across Riverside Glen came together this week for our resident-led Art Club, creating beautiful holiday cards with watercolor backgrounds, winter trees, and tiny birds. It was a wonderful mix of creativity, conversation, and connection.

When residents lead, the results are always meaningful - their elderwisdom, shared experiences, and natural creativity guide the program in the best way. Team members had the joy of learning alongside them, supporting their vision and joining in the fun.

A perfect way to welcome the holiday season together.

Rainy days are for connection!
At Riverside Glen, our intergenerational Art & Play program brought together seniors and little ones for a day filled with creativity, laughter, and heart-warming moments.

There’s nothing quite like seeing a senior and a child share a spark of joy, paintbrushes in hand, stories flowing, and smiles bright enough to outshine the grey skies outside.

These magical connections remind us just how meaningful time together can be, no matter our age.

Residents at Riverside Glen had the sweetest visitors this week — local bunnies dressed in tiny Santa hats! These soft, snuggly friends brought so much joy as residents enjoyed gentle pets, warm cuddles, and plenty of smiles all around.

There’s nothing like a little holiday magic mixed with furry friends to brighten the day.

The Village of Riverside Glen is getting into the holiday spirit!
🎄 Join us for our Christmas Market on November 29th. Residents and family can enjoy shopping from 10–11 AM, and the market opens to the community from 11 AM–3 PM.

Our talented residents have been busy creating delicious baked goods and beautiful crafts, and we have a wonderful lineup of vendors with all kinds of goodies. Come out, support local makers, and get into the festive cheer! ✨

Remembering Our Heroes

On Remembrance Day, we pause at Riverside Glen to honour the brave men and women who served our country with courage and sacrifice.

Residents and team members wore poppies with pride, shared stories of loved ones who served, and reflected on the freedoms we enjoy today thanks to their dedication.

It’s a day to remember, to give thanks, and to ensure that the legacy of our veterans lives on in every act of kindness, every story shared, and every moment of peace we hold dear. ❤️
