Hospital notices an increase in requests for delayed newborn bathing. Hospital questions its routine practices (we’ve always done it this way, but why). Hospital conducts study and changes its routine practices.

Change is possible! but we need birth parents to question routines and hospitals to be opened minded enough to listen.

Delaying a baby's first bath by at least 12 hours drove up in-hospital exclusive breastfeeding rates in a study at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital. The hospital has adopted the new policy, and is spreading it to other facilities in the system.

Midwifery services are in such high demand in Ontario. It’s sad to see this latest cut by the provincial government. It won’t affect what parents pay, but it WILL affect the midwives who provide such an important service to our families. Please consider signing this petition!
