Nonprofit Appreciation Week is a chance to recognize the essential role nonprofit organizations and professionals play across Ontario.

From supporting individuals and families to strengthening local economies and building inclusive, resilient communities, the impact of this sector is felt every day. Most importantly, it is powered by people who show up with care and commitment.

We appreciate the work happening across the nonprofit sector this week and throughout the year.

Gowdy Home is open again, and we’ve recently welcomed ZB and JL. As they settle in, we’re also continuing to grow and evolve our supports, together with the individuals who call Hopewell home.

P.S: Looks like ZB didn’t take long to get creative. We’re already seeing some wonderful artwork.

Some good news deserves a second moment.

Our winter campaign, Building Hope Together, raised over $63,000, and we’re still feeling incredibly grateful. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, cheered us on, or joined in for the first time. You are all part of the Hopewell community.

This year, we added a little fun with our very first Hopewell Cup Challenge 🏆 Staff formed teams, reached out to friends and family, and turned fundraising into a friendly competition. The energy, creativity, and teamwork were amazing!

Congratulations to Michelle's Masters for winning the Hopewell Cup and to Barry’s Believers for rallying the most donors.

More than the numbers, this campaign showed the heart of Hopewell. People coming together to support inclusion, connection, and meaningful lives. Thank you for being part of it 💛

This February, we join communities across Canada in recognizing Black History Month. At Hopewell, our commitment to dignity, belonging, and community guides our work every day, and this month is a time to reflect, listen, and keep building welcoming spaces throughout the year.

The 2026 theme, “30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations, From Nation Builders to Tomorrow’s Visionaries,” recognizes the lasting contributions of Black Canadians and celebrates the people shaping what comes next. We are grateful for the Black voices, stories, and leadership that strengthen our community.

🏡 Hopewell is expanding!

We’re happy to share that Hopewell has purchased a new home in Guelph, our 9th home supporting individuals with disabilities and developmental needs across the Guelph-Wellington region.

With over 1,500 sq. ft., a basement, and a large backyard, we’re looking forward to completing renovations to transform this space into a warm, welcoming home where individuals can feel safe, supported, and truly belong.
