This is a sneak peak into my journal from last spring.

Looking back, I can swing how I was in the thick of my own messy transition as I was adjusting to the recent move to the island.

A year later, as I am settling into my new life and have community taking root, I can see those moments of panic weren't a sign that id make a mistake.

It was the natural messiness of transition.

The back and forth rhythm was actually the roots of my new life growing in the dark, preparing the flowers that are starting to bloom today.

This is what the season of spring teaches us. The process of transition is long and hard. We get clues or spring only to be plummeted into winter again. Yet, this back and forth is part of the process. And, there is so much change happening that we dont even see.

Are you stuck in the messiness of change? Ive been there....many times. It can feel so disorienting.

I can be a guide as you walk through this change. As a Somatic therapist, I help support your nervous system to find safety and grounding.
As a Life Transition Doula, I help you move through change with intention and rituals to support the birth of the new version of yourself that is ready to take root just below the surface.

Check out my website or DM me CHANGE and im happy to connect with you to see how I can support your journey.

Spring is a season of transition.

We come out of the slow of winter and start to re-engage with our world. Yet, we dont have to rush into the energy of spring and summer. Just as the seeds slowly start to grow, so too can our energy slowly return.

Keep watching to see my reaction to seeing my first Robin of the season! Haha

I value conversations- not selling something that you may not even need or want!

I have been really feeling the tension of how to share my offerings without falling into the trap of the western way of marketing.

I have pulled away from social media because it doesn't feel like it aligns with my values. And, at the same time, I do love sharing my story and beauty of the island.

So, im sitting with this tension as I start looking ahead in planning my spring and summer programs.

And, I thought to put it out to my faithful followers!

What would you be interested in seeing more? Learning more? Experiencing more?

What has captured your curiousity in my posts and would love to dive deeper with?

I would love to hear from you. Feel free to comment or DM me with any quick thoughts of feedback.

As we mark the Spring Equinox, it is easy to want to rush to the part of spring when flowers are blooming.

Yet, early spring sets the stage for the bloom to follow.

This gradual shift toward spring reminds me of the process of growth I see every day in my session.

People, often start therapy wanting to see flowers of change right away.

And, as they start to slow down and connect to their bodies, they start to trust a deeper process of growth that takes time.

It takes time to thaw protective survival patterns, and build the roots of new life giving patterns. And, the more we tend to the soil and roots, with patience and compassion, the flowers do come.

Spring isnt all about the flowers. We aren't all about the flowers.

We are in process just like spring.

Do you get this concept in theory but find it really hard to slow down and stop pushing?

Trained in Somatic Experiencing, I help my therapy clients understand and tend to their nervous system to help their body's learn to safely slow down and trust the process.

DM today to start a chat to see if Somatic therapy is a right fit for you.

It is so hard to see the bigger picture when you are stuck in the middle of a challenge that feels like you have frozen in place.

Life that no longer fits can feel as heavy as an ice storm.

Let the trees be your reminder: You can step away from the cast that no longer serves you.

You can reclaim your life and move into new growth.

And, I can help you walk through the thaw.

DM me or comment THAW to start the conversation on how I can help you break out of your current confines through somatic transition therapy.

March is a teacher in the messiness of change.

One day it's hiking in the sun, the next back to winter boots and trudging through a fresh snowfall.

If your life feels like March weather right now: muddy, back-and-forth, and confusing, you aren't unstable. You are just in the thaw.

You don't need to be fixed or pathologized.

You need patience and tending as you ground into a new life forming.

Need support in how to move through disorienting phases of your life?

DM or comment 'THAW' and let's start a conversation on how I can walk through the mud with you.

Aarrgghh!! More snow!?! I thought we were done!!
The impatience and frustration in our collective experience is palpable at this time of the year.

But, what if March was our teacher?

When the snow returns, let it be a reminder that earth is simply in the middle of a change process.

And, part of change is the natural rhythm of going back and forth, before the new takes root.

So, may it be an invitation to be gentle and understanding with your own change process.

Change is happening.....just looks different than we expect.

This month, I dive deep into the importance of the change process in my newsletter, Letters from the Wild. I give you somatic tips and journal prompts to help you support your own change processes.

I don't think we are ever leaving......

But seriously, latter winter can be hard! Spring feels just around the corner....yet takes forever to come. Our bodies feel the impact of the lack of sun, we brace against the cold temperatures and pout about the next shovel.

Our moods dip and impatience rises.

That's why it is extra important to find small ways to bring in connection, enjoyment and lots of cozy vibes.

And what better way than immersing yourself in the Heated Rivalry world!? It sure has infiltrated our cottage! 🤭😂

What if for one moment you paused and opened up to the magic of winter?

I really get this time of year is hard for so many of us! For very legitimate reasons.

And, what if for one moment, it wasn't hard?
What if your breath slowed down and your eyes scanned the sparkles of the snow? What if you looked up to the moonlight before tucking in for the night? What if you took a moment to hear the crunch of the snow under your feet?

There are moments of magic in winter ready to be experienced.

We have crossed the threshold into the second half of winter. Hope is in the air as the days get longer and spring gets closer each day.
Yet, we are still in the deep of winter.
And there is magic here.

Let's not miss the magic of winter as we pine for spring.

This is actually how it felt when I moved up north.
I walked into the unknown.
I said goodbye to the citylife, and started walking onto a blank canvas of a new lifestyle.

And, it was terrifying.

So many times I wanted to go back to the familiarity of the city, or fill the space with planning, ruminating or escaping.

It is hard to lean into the nothingness during a change.

That is why it is so important to practice being with nothingness during the winter months.

It helps me remind me that it isn't a threat, but an important pause before new growth can emerge.

And, now that I'm entering my second year, I can feel the roots of the new growth!

Have you been going through major change and loss?

How can you let winter's wisdom support you during your change?

I'm also opening up my therapy practice to specifically hold space for people moving through transitions. If this is you, I'm happy to explore how i can be a support in the unknown.

Also--this is a taste of what can be sent directly to your inbox. Letters of the Wild is a monthly newsletter that is full of my reflections, insights and seasonal wisdom.
