We’ve all heard of meal prepping… but let’s be honest — it doesn’t work for everyone. 🙃
If you’re like me, the idea of eating the same leftovers day after day just doesn’t sound appealing.
So what can you do instead to stay on track with your nutrition goals, eat healthy, and make your week easier?
👉 Enter: Ingredient prepping.
Instead of pre-cooking full meals, ingredient prep is all about prepping the building blocks of your meals — so you can still eat fresh while saving time during the week.
Here are a few ways I do it:
🥕 Wash, cut, and store fruits & veggies in individual containers — ready to grab for snacks or to toss into meals.
🍗 When I buy meat in bulk (hello Costco!), I separate it into individual portions and freeze what I won’t use right away. That way it’s super quick to pull out and thaw when I need dinner fast.
🍚 Cook up a batch of grains (like rice or quinoa) to mix and match throughout the week.
🥚 Hard-boil a few eggs for quick breakfasts or protein-packed snacks.
🥑 Keep healthy sauces or dressings on hand (like homemade vinaigrette or hummus) to make meals taste fresh and different each day.
You don’t have to choose between boring leftovers or chaotic weeknight cooking.
✨ Ingredient prepping gives you flexibility, freshness, and a plan — without the burnout.
