The Ministry of Education has placed the Near North District School Board under provincial supervision, the first such move since Bill 33 passed.

Let’s be clear: the concerns in Near North stem from years of decisions made without listening to frontline education workers or community voices. That cannot be repeated under supervision.

The Ministry must take this lesson seriously and work with frontline workers and community members to rebuild trust, restore professional respect, and deliver the stability students deserve.

know standardized tests like EQAO offer overly simplified data on our students. No matter how long he delays releasing the results, Minister Calandra won't get the detailed insight needed to help .
